it lives up to its name.

I still hold hope that they can get the Alaska in as well it has not been changed that drastically to warrant another extensive round of testing.

I fully agree with you.

Or at least it seems more rewarding to farm damage as it is less risky that way, correct?

I'm pretty sure It literally isnt worth it for dds in terms of XP and credits to spot and scout.

Any normally played dd do tend to spot while performing whatever primary tast it is up to (except when it sits in smoke+dakka some big fat stupid BB it just torped)

However alot of dds will play incredibly passively.

Both things are pretty sad.

Damn, Le Terrible is really terrible. No smoke, no heal, bad stealth. Wow. What a winner.

I wonder if we are looking at the 2018 candidate for the "Graf Zeppelin" award? :Smile_sad:

How so? Unlike the first GZ that was sold, the ship didn't get ninja-nerfed into the ground and never really was good to begin with. Unlike current GZ, it isn't really broken. Might be more like the Huang He award.

You are right.

I stand corrected. :Smile_honoring:

Yeah. I find it really WG of them to announce that it is going to be the final state before even giving that version out to to ST or CCs to actually test.

The Huang He is OP, I top tier 8 games in it :cap_cool:

Terrible is more like DoY. Horrid gimmick idea that's poorly implemented for a famous ship that could've been really popular.

Well, there are debates though... :P

Well Flamu also seems to do alright with Le Terrible. Not great (definitely not great), but it can work at killing DDs, setting larger ships on fire. It just kinda dies...

Daring on the other hand seems freaking OP still.

Maybe just maybe not everyone likes BBs (and cruisers disguised as light BBs.)

Everyone has their heads stuck so far up their own [edited]that they can only care about what interests them directly?

Sure, why not... Or maybe my message was twofold with one part being an albeit badly handled pun on the name of the DD in relation to WGs balancing efforts. And the other part being baffled why they release a DD that has no silver line prematurely in a lackluster state, when there is no need to do so, while at the same time not releasing a T9 cruiser, which a) most likely more people are eager to get their hands on compared to le terrible (regardless of the balancing aspect ) and b) is according to a lot of CCs in pretty decent shape balance wise.

I just was too lazy to type such a long but less ambiguous post on my crappy phone while commuting home after work...

Well specifically because Alaska is so anticipated, it will come latest. It is unlikely people will be interested in other ships if Alaska is released first and they al get it.

Now on the other hand if Alaska is held out in front of us as a carrot, coming at an undisclosed time, at least some of us will be likely to buy some other ship in the meantime, say the Jean Bart (that is clearly less known, some "not-so-bright people" even consider it a paper ship).

But Jean Bart IS a paper ship! Why are you telling lies around here?

Alaska seems like a very nice ship that punishes battleships that broadside and can even in a pinch brawl due to its super low citadel.

(at least brawl in the sense you wont get blapped out of existence by a few citadels in 1 salvo.)

This seems to be the case with most people who use the "BBaby" word in any kind of denigrating way :Smile_sad:

My guess so far would be the Bourgogne for steel (alas), JB for coal and Alaska for fxp.

I would've wanted Bourgogne for coal at least, as I don't have much interest in Salem and would like a tier 10 premium ship :cat_cool:

I hope they make the Alaska a strong ship that is fun to play. And for fxp, of course :Smile_great:

I most likely won't waste coal on it since my amount of coal is more limited and I already have Missouri so no real need for USA captain trainer :fish_book:

Correction :

Alaska seems like a very nice ship that punishes "cruisers" that broadside.

For BB, Kron will do the job better, than Alaska.

Yep would like the Terrible but her initial reviews are really poor. Love the Aigle though

After the sacrifices to the old Gods have been accepted and shells go where they are aimed at ?

Alaska might not penetratie as hard but its shells behave much better.

Also while they increased the hp of above water modules a bit, it still shouldn't prevent that you can sit perfectly broadside and still not get citpenned. This should still be doable, whereas Kronshtadt basically just blows up in this situation.

Also, funnily enough, I'm not even all up in arms about this, because lack of reachable citadel is basically already a standard for BBs and vs cruisers Alaska just gets wrecked by the massive dpm if it doesn't watch out.
