Pros:

70k+ HP
Probably RN heal
Very stealthy

Ridiculous midrange AA

Decent shell velocity
1/4 pen HE

 

Cons:

Turret traverse
No plane, stuck at 20km range
Mediocre firepower, comparable to Richelieu

 

What we don't know:
Torpedo belt
Armor
Dispersion pattern

Firing arcs

 

It looks somewhat balanced. If she has the stupid underwater cit she might be quite tanky.

If anything is going to change I suspect it will be the turret traverse.

I think this ship is balanced around Monarch which is already mediocre, so because Vanguard has better AA and more hp the guns apparently have to be terrible.

 

That mid-range AA looks kinda scary though, it's all 40mm with 3.51km base range so you have 413 + 68 base dpm at that range. Even Alabama only get 198 + 151 until the 20mm kicks in, although the long range dpm is much better.

1.8 sigma is normal for the tier. Amagi, Bismarck, Tirpitz, Monarch, Richelieu, Gascoigne, Roma (?), and Alabama all have 1.8

Smaller guns and no IJN dispersion compared to Amagi. Worse in most aspects compared to the other 15" ships. No all forward turret layout like Richelieu. No railgun velocity like Roma. Gascogne and Alabama has 1.9 sigma btw

Also dont forget just how bad RN BB dispersion is at range, and with a 32mm all or nothing armor scheme I dont think we'll see Vanguard actually being in the vanguard.

Wow, Vanguard is a turd. Bismarck leves of horizontal dispersion AT 20 KM with 1,8 Sigma and most likely the RN dispersion pattern, and of top of that a nice 72 seconds turret traverse. Also the longest reload for a 381 mm gun with the least amount=abysmal DPM .  Only saving features are the ridiculous concealment and the rather good AA

I like to see a pre refit colorado. But why not Washington or Maryland? Because West Virginia had a unique look after pearl harbor.

And why again a lower detectionrange than even Eitel Friedrich? Could WG please stop, making ridiculously stealthy BBs?!

Yeah, I know, it's the same with all medium-high tier RN BB's. But still is better than the Monarch, which isn't bad (apart from the fragility of the mounts) either

Uhuh, so the West Virginia has a 12,4km base detection?

Vanguard has good concealment like other high tier UK BBs, no surprise there.

Wichita apparently loses a lot of health to the Baltimore, some reload, but gains noticeably better concealment and some speed, tighter turning circle.

Unless I'm mistaken, Charleston has all stats identical to nerfed St.Louis.

Dreadnought is very similar to Bellerophon except for the concealment (that is much better).

 

Hmm, 4 out of the 5 get crazy stealth, what the...?
