Ribbons for all bombs are added to the game, they will signify citadel hits, penetration, pass-thru penetration, ricochet and non-penetration.

 

Counters for potential damage (all received and blocked damage) and damage due to spotting (damage done to the enemy ships after a player has spotted them) are added to the battle UI as well.

 

Localization is underway.

I don't think it will change much about the playstyle of the average sniping border hugger, but it's a very good thing spotting damage and potential damage received are visible now.

And the detailed ribbons for bombs should have been implemented together with detailed ribbons for shells, so that's (finally) a good thing too

Move Akizuki to tier IX, gib Super-Akizuki as tier X and everything will be daijoubu!

 

Though if WG has some top sekrit documents about a ship design that would outclass even a Super-Akizuki, I wouldn't mind getting a glorious IJN Origami ship, paper folded a thousand times!

Yay for the torp buff, although I think that PA DDs really don't need even stealthier torps it will be nice for IJN DDs.

 

As for Helena: this looks cool and all but it feels like it leaves Mogami in a (even more) awkward place. Helena will be doing the same thing as her (comparable DPM, stealth, AA and turret traverse a bit better) but just a tier lower with great T7 MM instead of crappy T8 MM.

I would've much preferred if they had simply made aircraft completely incapable of spotting torpedoes, but it's a step in the right direction.

All the other changes look good too. Only the Midway nerf I can't decide on. Too few CV experience. So if CV players could tell me please: Needed nerf? The right nerf?

Midway only has tier 8 torpedo bombers and can get tier 9 fighters (tier 10 for all types on Hakuryu). She had the plane reserves for a reason I'd say. Decreasing the hangar capacity is one thing, but 40 planes less? I have to admit I'm not experienced in CVs either.

Yea... I agree to those very needed buffs, but ffs, did they just go from shima is fine and competitive in random battles to giving her a concealment buff of 430 meters? That's a huuuuuge buff. I guess it might be reasonable given the tier ten powercreep by the introduction of z-52, khaba and lately the YY, but the Gearing which practically has the same WR in random games as the shima... It seems more and more lacking comparably, especially to the YY. Trying to move in on dds that outspots you, has radar or hydro, while taking huge chunks of damage from bbs and cruisers... Maybe take a look at it?

Why does wargaming hate USN CVs? If they are going to do that to Midway they need to:

 

A) Cut servicing times by a third (at least)

B) give her stronger torpedo bombers

 

Otherwise everyone will just play Hakuryu. Midway actually existed and with the planes in game she had a hangar capacity over 120 so we'll take this lower capacity if she gets an angled deck and jets back. There is literally no point to the Midway if they do this

Midway back in the day had jets (F2H Banshees). So maybe rollback Midway to Open Beta times and nerf hangar capacity?

Real problem with Midway balance is the 2 TB squadrons. They can do really too much damage t anyone.

 

Problem is WG doesn't want to remove 1 TB squad so they are trying idiot things instead of giving Midway a 2/1/3 that could really work.

Midway TB are hard to dodge as there is a very small space between their torps, Hakuryu TB have more space. So, unless the CV player is soign a perfect torpedo drop with the ideal shift between the 3 TB squads, they are much esier to dodge.

Interesting cause I saw a Video of Flambass playing the new version of it and did exceedingly well (though he was top tier), mind you I think the fact that the enemy team seemed to ignore his existence helped a bit cause he didn't really need to use 1 heal.

 

It does seem much improved compared to the previous version, will need to see more gameplay to decide whether it is competitive. Mind you some ships might be under-powered so some and good fun to others, I got on well with both the Pensacola and the Duca D'Aosta, despite them being regarded as very mediocre.

In what way? You still struggle to deal any sort of damage. Guns are bad and even with IFHE they do laughable ammount of damage.

And heal only prolongs the struggle and frustration for you and the team. 

Plus always take into consideration who is playing. In most case majority of good players will get less damage than super unicums get.
