@Darth_Glorious

Looking ingame Richelieu got back its 7km secondary range, Alsace 7.5km and Republique 8km?

Did I miss something?

They buffed it shortly, then they reverted it, and only when the PTS came with the France missions in live server they cancelled that revert.

Arent the French secondaries kind of pointless since weak penn, ok theyr good as firestarters but thats about it, it seems pointless for a secondary build, Republic is also kind of weak (clan member mentioned it, it dont have it yet so i wouldnt know) :Smile_amazed:

Richelieu/Gascogne = garbage

Alsace is on paper the best fire starter with secondaries, beating everything else out of the water.

Republique is probably not going to be an anti cruiser/BB secondary terror like GK, but just picking manual secondaries alone should still be enough to really lay down the hurt on DDs or RN cruisers sneaking up on ya.

Still playing around with Richelieu for a while, but will try out with Alsace and Republique. Secondaries will never be competitive, thats for sure, but Im hoping to find a place for them in a hybrid build of some kind for random battles.

Hmmm, Yeah I see now that the 15 second reload is a remnant of what it was in alpha.

On the other hand though they have removed torpedoes and added radar sooo seem kinda adjusted... idk youre prolly still right tho

I have to admit, it looks weird (or rather: half-a$$ed), but from what I can tell we have to remain patient.

Sub Octavian posted this on the russian forums: Link

"CV rework

Carriers are really a bad spot in terms of game balance. We are working on a full restart of this class, and we intend to solve the following problems:

* excessive influence on the fight,
* a huge skill gap and complexity of training,
* a huge gap in air defense and protection from AB (all or nothing),
* the possibility of total roflstomp (?)(especially at high tiers).

We want the aircraft carriers to play more interestingly and cheerfully, so that they fit more organically into the game, so that their popularity grows, not harming the balance and not causing a negative reaction from the players (now, with all these problems, they are also not very popular, which is bad for the confined in air defense ships). This is really a huge and very difficult task, and right now we are not ready to talk about the work in more detail, and to give promises at this stage is premature. But this is one of the key priorities for the year, so we will try, and you - wait for news, but later."

Most unballanced class ever. Don t expect it to be buffed, it still has to be brought in line with the other classes.

Just invent a CV scenario, the only battle with a CV in.

Yes, which is why after clan battles the new scenario doesn't allow CVs either. Also year of DDs now?

This is funny because if they intend to solve the problems listed above it'll make CVs even more powerful than they are now as they essentially want to turn CVs into a damage oriented class rather than a team support one.

And no, currently CVs are not a damage oriented class.

Heh?

Here is someone very skilled at CVs telling you that the proposed axes of change would give even less emphasis on support, and even more on damage which he is telling you is not advisable, and you're taking that as "CV fanboyism" ?

404 logic not found

You're literally telling him that he's a CV fanboy because he's opposed to CVs doing more damage.

So if Bill O'Reilly, Fox new anchor with all it implies, tell you that redesigning tide pods so they look like cupcakes is stupid, would you disagree with him ?

Because that's pretty much what I'm seeing right now; someoneagreeing with the general "CV damage shouldn't be buffed" vibe, and you calling him a fanboy for it.

Oh, really? Let me break it down for you then.

On 3/2/2018 at 8:44 AM, 22cm said:

* excessive influence on the fight,

This will mean a substantial nerf for spotting ability, the most influential tool a CV currently has, relieving CVs of their current teamplay ability and encouraging selfish play. I guess in a remote sense this will also make CVs easier to play and will quite possibly push DDs to the top in terms of game influence (I haven't seen you crying for DD nerfs btw despite your demands for equality). Hardly surprising considering all the comments WG has made on it.

Making CVs easier to play. Nothing new here either.

Narrowing down this gap means a CV will be able to strike you no matter how much AA you stack. This will be further exacerbated by the fact that CVs will lose their only inherent ability (aka spotting), so the one thing CVs have left is damage dealing, thus it needs ludicrous buffs. Also largely in line with comments WG has made on it.

So that translates into a substantial buff to plane survivability (or nerf to all AA capabilities with very few exceptions) and alpha strike.

This is just flowery language that is contradictory to everything else above.

But sure, cling to your beliefs. I'm just telling you what's going to happen if WG tries to "fix" all the problems they have identified. Just precisely what you wished for with all your whining. Don't come crying when it actually happens.
