Aigle engine boost +20% speed for 2 minute, reload 3 or 2 minutes :cap_haloween:

T-61 is torpboat with sonar :cap_haloween:. RIP Jap DDs

Aigle is the first proper gunboat at tier 6, assuming they fix HE. 45 knots with speed boost is sweet but overall I think it's balanced.

T-61 looks like the next 'opps OP' ship they'll 'ban' after 1 year of sales.

Well they will probably first change some game mechanics and then ban it from shop. T-61 looks really strong ... too strong compared with opposition. Concealment, torpedo reload time, maneuverability and now hydro too ... WG simple don't know where to stop with strengths and where to start with weakness.

Aigle look much better balanced. Definitely more interested in this one, hope we will get some reviews soon.

Vanilla Musachi AA does not pass 141 DPS :cap_haloween:. Consummables are the same as Yamato.

Nagato has 50% more DPS (228 against 141)... at tier VII. I guess it will be fun to face carriers on the Musashi :cap_fainting:

At least Musachi guns are still very accurate.:cap_cool:

Aigle 3rd and 5th turret gun arcs are terrible, need to angle 50 degrees to shoot 4 guns, 57 degrees to shoot all 5 guns:cap_fainting:

T-61 torp reload time can get down to 61s without Adrenaline rush :cap_haloween:

Hello and greetings everyone!

Was too afraid to start a new thread, but couldn't contain myself from posting an interesting video.

I'm a meh player myself, and by no means I'm trying to hate on WG or protect favorite ships, but recent changes to detection of smoked opponents and a video by a RU Youtuber has peeked my interest (the vid is in Russian and unfortunatelly there is no translation).

Do you mind sharing your thoughts, is this how the new mechanic should work? (Atleast as of right now the mechanic defies all logic...for me)

My biggest issue is that a DD is capable to detect another ship while being in smoke itself.

English is not my native language, so apologies if this text was hard to understand.

ST, Japanese battleship Ashitaka, tier VII.

Doesn't Kii kind of make Ashitaka redundant at this point? 2 premium Amagi's in such a short time?

Also still nothing on Roma...

There is a lot of discussion about it, for example here:

Another down tier IJN BB and as far as I can see nothing special about her either.

So we now have 5 IJN BBs that you can say are inferior to there tech tree counter parts with 3 of them being down tiers of tech tree ships.

I can absolutely do without this crap. It is just a much more powerful version of strike Lexi. Strike setups should go the way of the Dodo.

It wouldnt suprise me if they actually made strike set ups the norm and did away with fighters.

Imagine for a minute that NO CV had fighter planes at all. CV then becomes pure damage/a bit of spotting.

Lots easier for them to balance - just plane health and torp damage.

Reduces gap between skilled and unskilled - atm a skilled carrier player can do a load of damage and lock down the enemy carrier.

Makes carriers a lot easier to get into.

Makes carriers easier to play (no need to protect team, just focus on damage).

Removes the depressing feeling of being utterly locked down by a better player

Makes AA cruisers important again.

Now personally I like the fighter play, strafes etc but it wouldnt suprise me if they did away with it in order for carriers to be more 1 dimensional and therefore easier foe the average player

There would then be nothing stopping carriers from obliterating each other in the 1st few mins of a match though.

Maybe if they had a CAP that stayed within a few hundred meters of the home carrier purely for self defence it could work.

Aaaah, it's a caesar-salad stabbed with knives?

@Leo_Apollo11

apart from a Ceasar salad is a American dish not Italian. one story is the dish was concocted by a showman hosting a minor dinner party for friends at the Ceasar's casino in las vegas when he realised he'd ran out of ingredients for his salad dressing and ad-hoc'd it with garlic, anchovy and mayonase. and the salad got its name from the casino

the other story (more probable) was that the dressing was created by a one Caesar Cardini, an italian immigrant in San diego as a exotic flair for his neices birthday meal

still a good reference though

Well, even without speaking Russian, it is clear what it was about. I find it informative and it answers some questions i had about the smoke mechanics after the change. And if THIS is how it was INTENDED by WG.... :fish_panic::Smile_facepalm:

Now i understand what they mean by saying "MM is working as intended" when it comes to this:

ST Facebook blog;

ST, fire extinguishing time

Fires will now be extinguished in 30 seconds instead of 60 on all tiers of destroyers and cruisers, except for Admiral Graf Spee, for which the new number will be 45 seconds. This change is designed to make the low tier gameplay more comfortable for the new players and to reduce the difference between the Repair Party I and Repair Party II consumables.
