That is a light cruiser says wikipedia, not a destroyer :P

They're tiny, Dido-class will get a similar surface detection  :cap_rambo: (~7km if they stick them at tier 8, hehehe)

I guess the supercharged guns mean no smoke? Wait, are those are those Soviet 152mm guns? (and Anshan torpedoes)

I'm slightly confused by the changes to IFHE, it seems that they are keeping it the same except for a buff to ships that use it with < 139 mm guns, which is what exactly?  Akizuiki and what else?

Harekaza, Kiev, and few other higher tier Russian ships.

Not many.

Dido is something I been waiting for, UK Atlanta with bigger guns... 133mm vs 127mm ( odd caliber btw, 133mm ). Sadly tomorrow is the second baby invasion, and all people trying to counter that should be playing Kamikaze R or CV ( and ignore each other, go for the babies first, babies are evil, kick the babies, burn the babies, drown the babies and make sure they don't ever come back :Smile_hiding: )

It's quite different. 6.6s reload with much better arcs make it a mini Belfast with torpedoes. (It has fairly bad AA too)

Ahh wait, those mounts are the same as the secondary mounts of the KGV.. that's pretty anemic in AAA values, but should do much better vs ships.. I hope it has smoke to, so I can troll Flints with it....

Please no Soviet radar WG! :Smile_ohmy:

Deep water torpedoes and smoke is fine. 7.9km surface detection, 6 x Budyonny guns, 8km Anshan torpedoes and RN CL manoeuvrability will make it good regardless of gimmicks.

Ooooh Emmmm Geeee!!!! another british cruiser that can fire HE rounds!!!11!!!11!! why are Brit cruisers still crippled with inferior AP?! WG are disgustingly anglophobic!!!11!!!

#what does WG have against the Brits?

:Smile_teethhappy:

Terrible attempt at humour aside,

The Arethusa class Light cruiser formerly the HMS Aurora, Given to the legitimate ruling party Republic of China as payment for several vessels the British commandeered from Hong kong during the war and managed to lose. was renamed the Chung King by the RoC and served as the flagship of their fleet until some of the crew got drunk, figured the commies had better beer (vile  Communist propaganda! :Smile_izmena:) and defected taking the ship along with them in Feb '49.

the Commies altered the name to the Tchoung King (because adding a T is real original no? :Smile-_tongue:)  and was subsequently Sunk in Taku harbour a month later by RoC aircraft in March '49

Raised with the help of the Russians and then stripped bare by said Russians when either the Communist Chinese refused to pay for their help... or they ran out of Vodka. left as a floating hulk for damn near a decade

Renamed the Huang He in '59  and served as a accommodation and warehouse barge in Taku Harbour

Renamed the Beijing in '65 and transferred to Tainjin harbour to serve as a barracks boat until 1990 she she was scrapped

according to the records the Communists never used it as a warship, that 'honor' firmly remains in the hands of the nation of Taiwan. it was not renamed the Huang He until after it was stripped bare by the Russians (probably to steal what navy sekrits they could... their navy was still a complete and utter joke at that time you know...)

@Sub_Octavian ,

aside from the fact it would have most likely very quickly earned the player base nickname 'the chunky chicken' if it released as the Chung King (or Tchoung King) I dont suppose you can explain why this ship is sailing into the game with a ensign it never saw active duty under and with a name that it was given while serving a lodging and storage barge? I cant see any logic behind it what so ever :Smile_amazed:

So British guns shoot Budyonny shells ?:cap_haloween:

It's a full 1950s fantasy refit, everything is Soviet apart from the hull.

AA is arguably better than Cleveland. :cap_fainting:

And when Babies grow up they turn into adults and we all know what crazy stuff those are up to so stop this menace as quickly as we can.

'Data as of 1951'. In 1951 it wouldn't even have had guns, but here she has some fictional refit with Russian guns and secondaries.

It's reminiscent of all those phone calls one gets from 'British Telecom' about your internet - Delivered by 'Mark Smith' with a thick sub-continental accent. :Smile-_tongue:

Well, didn't want to single out indian's as too specific, and last I checked India (the land mass) was a 'sub-continent'. Goodness knows I can't keep up with what counts as 'offensive' these days.

My point was not to target any ethnic group just the whole "why on earth do they bother doing this when it's so obviously counter to the reality - just say what it is" kinda thing.

The Italian BB looks nice but with the fun&engagingtm Tier 5 matchmaking you will be fighting Nelson and Gneisneau 70% of the time, so not much fun at all.

Yes, probably again some secret documents for modernisation that never occurred. While not looking particularity strong it will probably have second best AA among T6 cruisers, only Cleveland have better AA.

...which is strange, being the same ones as on the Kutuzov where they are very effective as AA.

WG has always noted DP guns under secondary when the gun is the only AAon these teasers
