- Just take the torp hit, you are a BB after all

Kinda got my hopes up when they said that RN BBs don't need any elaborate gimmicks (even if it is ridiculous that they needed testing to see that). Guess I shouldn't have.

All those tips are nice, but in general the best one (if you play USN BB) would be to snipe those stealth bastards from 15+ km range when allies spot them  :Smile_honoring:

They removed only radar and DFAA, the superheal stays.

-Those torps only impact BB

-Not a gimmick. Every DD gets this.

-No switch time. 4 modes when pressing the 3 button (torp button)narrow and wide spreads for both depths. Depths are shown visually by the torpedo arc color. Light blue as it is now, dark blue for deep.

 

Still tho, shitty idea.

i totaly agree,

 

but making it like the switch between ap and he is  better than a 4x press 1 buttun to cycle.

 

thing is either the torps are a nice to have thing, then giving them only to one line is not a good idea.

or they arent good then why bother implementing them  at all?

 

apart from the side of other DD lines i realy dont know id abother hard counther you can do crap about as a captain is a good thing.

(like AP bombs that  hard counter german BB's but you cant realy do anything but huging a cruiser, which will absolutely gimp your game esp if that cruiser is not a good player)

It won't happen, the only ship which can get citadel hits is Nelson.

S_O said somewhere they move away from the "gimmicks" and that these ships would get Warspite heal. Are you sure this idiocy stays?

Ohhhhhh you have no idea, I've encountered it first hand a couple of days ago. 

 

My Iowa, 2 Bismarcks (with secondary specs), a Gearing and a Baltimore vs a Conqueror.

 

That super heal turned the damn thing into a damage sponge which simply absorbed every AP and HE shell, torpedo and secondary gun arrayed against it and kept going. The armour layout means Conqueror takes a crap ton of regular penetrations from lower caliber shells, but has a extremely heavily armed citadel, very quick rudder shift to change angles at close range. No other BB could have taken that level of firepower and kept going, not the Yamato, Kurfurst and certainly not the Montana.

 

Basically, you knock it out ASAP with citadels or throw the kitchen sink at the damn thing and sink it as fast as possible or it just heals up and keeps going (any competent player will be able the manage his repair party well enough to drop into concealment and simply heal up)

 

That super heal is broken, having an better heal than any other BB okay, but 40k?

I don't see Lion and Conqueror losing superheal yet, only radar and DFAA.

Yamato didn't make up 60% of the tier X  games, at any time, so your comparison is like always, off. 

 

And please keep sniping in your BB's I love meeting you on the enemy team that way.

Because it's not a <cenzored> idea.
Conq and Lion need boost to tanking to be viable. Thus, they have a heal that works much faster, however, it is not RN CL heal, as it does not repair bonus citadel points.
We're running this loadout as final, and still have time before release. If by any chance the tankiness of Lion and Conq turns out to bee too much, well, we can juts tweak it down, that's all.

I will elaborate more about these heal consumables in dev log today.

Personally, I'm more interested in anything which can be said about the deep draught torpedoes possibility :Smile_hiding: I followed the devblog right when I read about those :Smile_coin:

Yes, this can be really nice addition to the game:)
We will start with testing PA DD with regular torps, then we will have a stage with deep draught, and at that time I will be glad to share more details:Smile_honoring:
