You mean faildivving in order to get the most base XP? LOL that is so terrible, yet I can totally see it working. A trio of players rotating the failship between them in order to get hte most chances for a crazy high base XP game with one of the required ships. Please Ph3lan, don't allow this sort of stupid abuse. On topic: rewards look quite disappointing to be honest. I simply can't get excited about a contest that has no premium ships rewards. I think it would have been better if you guys put Imperator Nikolai, Ishizuchi, Mikasa and maybe the upcoming German tier 4 BB as rewards. Maybe even Texas. I got all of those ships (except German obviously) but would have liked such a contest much more. It's simply hard to get excited about those rewards. Reading the article clarifies that: Base Experience does not take into account bonuses from Camouflages, Signal flags, Commemorative flags or Premium Account. Rest will just get some hope and it will be yet another massive disappointment. You really do need to try harder WG, I like the game, but the way you care for community it will end up same way as WoWp... WoT in early days did much better job at celebrating anniversaries. No offense, but there aren't enough contests (either "just play" or "post battle results" or any other kind) on EU server for premium ships to become generic NA doesn't seem to have a problem with that, they used to do - and maybe still do, haven't checked in a while because there's no point for me - contest for literally every single thing. When Kutuzov was released to the premium shop, they gave away 5 of them. Same for Saipan. They gave away a few Blyskawicas and one Lo Yang too if I remember right - just to "celebrate" those ships becoming available in the premium shop. Only comparable thing we had was end of year contest (which was awesome ). And their population is half of EU server's. Now they are basically giving away Texas for free through refer-a-friend program. Has that made those ships generic on NA? Maybe. I do not know. There were a lot of Katoris, Smiths and Tachibanas given away during GNB and they don't really feel generic (though it may be because they are very low tier). (By the way, I liked GNB a lot and think you did a good job , even though "It's a secret" was a quite disappointing) I don't want it to seem like I'm complaining... well, maybe I am a little... I'm thinking of this as leaving feedback. Having premium ships as rewards simply "feels" better for me than having premium time and port slot rewards. Port slots and premium time are nice, they simply don't arouse some kind of emotional reaction in me. I used to complain a lot about NA and EU inequality in contests. You guys explained it's because EU population doesn't participate in contests as much so I stopped complaining (regularly at least). By the way, the Refer-a-friend program NA has...
