I can't see Scharnost doing anything less than selling in huge number. Infesting every game from T5 to T9.

Like when the Tirp was new, it royally messed around with the MM.

I will buy it but I will rage if WG don't sell it by itself and force us into £85 bundles :sceptic:

I just thought of something... theoretically they could be dragging the Scharnhorst through Ranked if they wanted to. She is T7. And with that reload, the speed, the torps and thick belt, heck even her secondaries, she would rock the format.

Aaaaaand I will just wait for the German BB line. I don't see a point to buy a premium ship that may(and most likely will be) nerfed in a few patches.

WG don't nerf premiums once they are sold. If a prem is OP they just don't sell it anymore.

See: Type 59, Emperor Nikolai, Gremyashchy....

You are right, but it is the Scharnhorst. Can´t imagine any scenario where they would decide to not sell it anymore. Tweaking some hidden stats if it is OP (which i don´t believe) is the more logical approach in my opinion.

WG doesn't nerf premium ships *cougheveniftheyshouldcough*

Unless of course they change a core mechanic across the entire game and don't bother to buff any inderectly nerfed ships to compensate *coughYubaricough*

Anyone got some menthol drops for me?

Am I the only person hyped for Konig Albert instead?

I hope the supertesters are actually playing her.

Gremy is a unique case of not even being affected negatively by global changes (eg. stealth shooting nerf) which other premiums have suffered from. Even her actually-not-bad AA didn't really change in 5.3 and was improved when the 37mm AA range got buffed (in 5.5 I think).

Is it just me or is Tirpitz much more handsome?

I agree actually, Tirp has better proportions.

Scharnhost has huge turrets for her size squeezed onto the deck and the main conning tower looks a bit strange.

A part of me thinks the Tirpitz maybe the best German BB out there...

It has very few weaknesses apart from slightly poor AA, I don't subscribe to the stance that it's guns are weak.

Scharnhost will probably be great to play but it'll likely be weak vs BB that are higher tier than it.

I don't feel a well played Tirp is ever that badly out matched.

Certainly. Possibly in the form of shell fire, but only if you're on the other team of course :D

I was pretty hyped, but then I heard about the Dunkerque, and I gotta admit, even more hyped about that one than Scharnhorst.

I'll get them both, don't get me wrong, but still.. :hiding:

I do miss the Deutschland class, hope they find a way to fit that one in.

I have one book on battleships where they are mysteriously not included either..

Kinda feel sorry for them..

Graf Spee as a premium.

'Nuff said.

Kind of hopeful we get at least one of them next week.

The type 59 was nerfed a number of times to hell and back. I was one of the original owners when it first came out. It's only a shadow of it's former self so don't get all 'they don't nerf premiums'. They defintiely do.
