The entire centre sections?

Just the center section of the hull. all superstructure, and both ends less than 12 mm (on many ships).  Not just on dd's though same for most lower tier cruisers I checked, Phoenix, Omaha, St Louis, Tenryu, Yubari, Bogatyr. Most of the lower level cruisers are less than 12mm except for the few armored areas. So British guns will be overpenning a lot without HE (unless RNGesus loves you).  On Clemson or Wickes (for example) you have to hit the hull aft of the forward superstructure and ahead of the aft port torpedo mount (or a gun shield) to hit 13mm, the rest is 10mm.

10mm turns into 12+ at any kind of meaningful angle.

Actually thinking about it, that ammo with its 75° autobounce angle will have no problem achieving detonation threshold even on bow sections of DD's, as it takes 60° to double thickness.

Sigma value affects the density of salvo relatively to the center of shell dispersion. We don't use Sigma very often, but do sometimes for balance puproses.

So the myth about sigma = horizontal dispersion/vertical dispersion is busted.

Tone is still in early design to find an interesting plane dynamic for it. It will come next year at the earliest, if ever.
