Commanders! Please find the list of changes made after first days of 0.5.8 Public Test below. We thank you for your time and effort!

 

1.       Ribbons have been changed according to players' feedback. For now all ribbons (including new subtypes) will remain in "classic" design as it turned out to be much more popular than the alternative one. In-game damage counter and extended maim caliber ribbons can be turned on in game settings;

2.       Friendly fire chat log has been tweaked according to players' feedback to eliminate message spam. Now, full log is avaliable only for the shooter and the victim. The rest of the team will receive updates only each 60 seconds.

3.       According to the first results from "Bastion" game mode test, several changes have been implemented:

a.       Ground objects Hit Points were increased from 210 000 up to 300 000;

b.      Forts firing range was increased from 12 to 13 km;

c.       Forts AA defence was increased;

d.      Forts main guns dispersion was decreased;

e.      "Bastion" game mode will appear with higher frequency for testing purposes;

4.       Fixed a bug with XP convertion on sold elite ships;

5.       Game logic has been tweaked to reduce ships twitching in some cases;

6.       Fixed several inaccuracies in Karlsruhe and York armor model;

7.       Fixed a bug with ambient sounds, which caused severe sound problems in some cases;

8.       Fixed a bug, which prevented quest name to be indicated when receiving the reward for it;

9.       Fixed a bug with main gun ribbon counter in the tooltip;

10.     Fixed a bug with incorrect conditions for Dreadnought achievement;

11.     Fixed ribbons placement in post-battle screen.

12.     Fixed the issue when damage meter didn't display damage correctly in case the first damage (artillery or torpedoes) was caused to a ship that was not detected

Apparently, although reported in supertesting they never moved the location. In my opinion the icons need to be made smaller (nice to know we achieved them but not at the expense of clogging the UI) and placed above the minimap. Better still, along with the minimap make the ribbons semi-transparent?

I'm having trouble logging into the Public Test server. Anyone else having issues logging in?

 

yep, probably down as we don't get told at the logon screen if it's brokted or busteded or not working. :)

Where is the complete line of the german teach tree your patch notes show only some names of the ships where are the high tier ships .

Any details on this? Statements of this order can mean a horrendously long list of things I don't care to mention. So what does it mean? I don't need specifics just something like "Karlsruhe's belt was too narrow, it has been widened slightly" or "Yorck's armoured deck was inclined too much and has been corrected". Are these changes something that might influence gameplay?
