Is there a shortcut for chat window?

Is there a shortcut to write something in the chat window, without clicking into the speak bar?

 

Current way: Hold CTRL, move mouse, click into speak bar, (press TAB), write, click enter

shortcut: press shortcut, (press TAB), write, click enter, press shortcut

Yes, there is.

1) Press 'Enter'

2) Optional: press 'Tab'

3) Type message

4) Press 'Enter' once again

 

That's how I send all my messages except for the F-key shortcuts.

As Egoleter said but be care full when hitting the Tab key .

Tab key when hitting it means you can toggle between just chatting to your team mates or chatting to both teams.

Green writing just team mates can read message and white writing means both teams can read message.

Sure you know this but newer gamers reading this may not..

also if you type a message and need to manoeuvre or something you can click the right mouse once and it will save the message for next time you press enter (it will also select all of the message when you do though)
