You lose  karma when you play bad

You lose karma when you play good

So you lose karma always

I forgot where to look for my karma score; but I assume its still a big, fat zero.

Unless reliable information comes to light showing beyond any reasonable doubt that

  a) Buddha was right, and

  b) it's actually your karma score in Wows that decides whether you're going to be reborn as a primate or a cephalopod,

then frankly, Madam, I don't give a damn.

I lost nearly 20 Karmapoints in Ranked in 8 games and am now at 1 Karma points.

I did get three KPs in a game where i managed to secure the victory by carrying hard, but lost those in the last few games i played on Sunday.

I guess folks don't like being told what to do to win, and when i do anyway they get salty and then i get sarcastic, then they get all cry baby or keyboard warrior on me and then i make fun of them.

In any of those cases, i get reported and they sure do like to report. The feeling of absolute power tm they seem to have must make them happy in their pants.

To bad you can't get neg-repped (with negative values), that's a stat i'd be pedding like it's WN8 in WoT. ^^

And all i have to do is telling them things like: "CV, pls keep the DD spotted, we can kill him faster..." "...CV, don't waste your DBs on a CL, he has AA active...nevermind, would have been smarter to spot that DD and nuke him...".

And things like that me get neg-reps like crazy it seems, at least judging by the messages in the report window.

Mine went down in ranked too...oh wait, it always was near zero anyways, so no change there. I'm no richer nor poorer for it neither and no-ones come knocking on my door, so I guess karma technically means nothing. Oh well.

My Karma actually went up during the ranked season even though I am a massive n00b who brings the Warspite in rank 12 LOL

Anyway, my experience is that it is much more helpful (and less offensive to others) by telling them what I am planning to do before offering suggestions. Another thing is that try to ask for support as early as possible. (This is especially true for Hiryu/Saipan captains, since their attention is all over the map)

For example,

at the beginning of the game DD often spam 'requesting fire support' or 'please stick together'

= no useful information

'Going to cap A, Fighter pls?'

= CV can reserve some fighter and expect to provide support

'Please spot that DD pls'

When an red DD runs away

= CV is most likely trying to manual drop/strafe covering friendly/ scouting the other DD. Thus cannot help on time. UNLESS there is a fighter already standing by because you asked earlier

I like that you use the word "please" in the requests above. So much better than something along the lines of "scout idiot DD", or "no camping n00b m0r0ns". Much grief in the chat can be avoided just by being nice instead of nasty.

Rage less, be friendly and you won't lose so much karma. ;)

Same here.

Can't speak for thers, but i initially don't rage.

I tell folks to not lemming train, and ask the CV to spot the caps we agreed initially to spot and support our DDs during the cap, or to keep DDs spotted when the enemy team was faster.

While it works - for the most part - there are always those douchebags that don't give a crap or just pursue their own goals, i.e. damage.

I don't like that in Random, but i usually remain silent when the target of my request denies or simply comments "stfu" or similar.

In Ranked however, i effin hate it when a CV goes for damage, starts a pointless attempt at CV or CL sniping and loses most of his planes instead of covering our DDs or spotting enemy ones.

Even a sinmple reminder that when we lose our only DD we basically lose the game get's ignored or with stupid remarks bashed and i end up neg-repped.

Not that i care that much...that would change though, if one day you can exchange Karma points for rare Premium ships. ^^

Until then, no need to be a nice guy if someone [edited]up games. ^^

Asking nicely can yield different results, but in some cases - especially in Ranked - you just get ignored.

Well, not that Karma is useful for something, but that hurts :(

Mine was only at 7 before ranked and now it's was at 2 last time I checked but expected that to happen as ranked battles are even more salty heated.

I seriously don't understand how you lose Karma in ranked..

I've gained like 5 karma since I started, only remeber being reported once since all my time playing and it was because a salty teammate, the first one that died, called us an idiot team and that he will report us all for being noobs, as well as the enemy that killed him. I called him some stuff in the chat so he reported me also, which is fair I guess.

But how do you lose all your karma? Are you sure you are not being slaty in the chat and because of that getting reported?

lost 7 karma over 2 days for no other reason than top scoring on winning teams and for complaining when a division started shooting each other!!!

In ranked mine went up from 0 to 15 LOL. It is after all a meaningless number. It would be nice if the match maker could put all the +Karma players on one team and the negatives ones on the other team. I'd watch that game! especially chat ;)

Bit sick and tired of people thinking loss of karma has to do with bad chat in battles. I can assure you people can lose karma just for killing enemy ships and nothing at all to do with bad chat.
