I do wonder for how long we'll see these kind of threads pop up... at least a week I would guess, from people who have been away for a bit and didnt see the announcements (nothing wrong with that.... but if you've been around, it's your own fault for not seeing the multiple announcements)

For another week at least me thinks. Seriously, WG could not have made it any clearer, and yet people keep making assumptions that they so special that WG must make a exception just for them.

I not saying WG should make an exception, I just cannot understand what harm it would have done to have left it open for a few days longer. I played hard to get those diamonds and just missed the announcement that it was closing, so the event runs for a whole month and spending the diamonds ends in 2 days well there seems little logic in that, and you people are not helping. 

If WG want to see players lose interest in a game then that's the way to do it.

As you confirm the validity or timeframe for using diamonds was not stated at all, but you have assumed it was "clearly the same date as the date the event was ending on as they never announced a different date".

Unless you can provide this information I'll be done with all these threads. Players made assumptions and now blame Wargaming that those were not correct. If only they were able to admit their own failure instead of trying to blame someone else.

OK, checked that link - please show me where it mentions spending your diamonds before a date. I can't see it mentioned anywhere.

 

Nobody is debating the end of the event, or missions. Purely about spending Diamonds.

If they add some days, you can be sure that someone complains after that. If they add even more days, someone will complain after that on so on.

That is not what events are for. Events are limited, that makes them special.

You knew how long the event was supposed to go und and knew that the shop is open during that time. Why did you not use that?

Because as I have already stated I missed the announcement, and there is no reason why you should not have been able to spend the diamonds for at least a week after the event ended.

How would it annoy any other player it would not affect them, I can understand that it might annoy WG that they would have to give away something for free that you have earned in the game.

Looking at the previous similar event which was collecting the pearls for the KamiR, you could get similar treasures unlocked with your pearls. I have looked back in the news announcements but can see no mention of a cut off date to spend your pearls in that event so why in this one.

Because you could not spend pearls on the EU server.

You got reward boxes automaticly which had to be opened before the event ended. The event ended when the target number of pearls was reached (or on the end date, whichever happened first).
