I mean, I hope plenty of people do use it* because it will be an easy CV opponent but nobody with any sense will use it... EDIT: to clarify, I only hope people use it when I'm in my CV. I feel like this applies to the other VII carriers as well. Also, I didnt really expect those 4 people to actually take their saipan onto ranked. But I guess one shouldn't complain about that! Pretty much the only thing the Mahan has over the Sims is better torpedos. On all the other stats Sims is better. And I doubth many Mahan-captains got 16 skillpoints. Sealclubbing is sooooo boring.. I rather play some difficult ships... like Atlanta I will most likely play Budyonny and Myoko in ranked, not because they are the best, but because I need to grind them to next tier. Yes a 15 Point mine beats Fujin but there are Little around and a 15 Point fujin beats a non 15 Point Minekaze. 3. Ranked is random with all ist fauts. Ship x performs good if ship y does everthigh right... not gona happen. 4. unless they exclude some shipe everbody will bring in any ship no matter how bad especally in the 1st Tirs were you cant lose ranks. Was/Is like that in WoT too, that/this tank s**** and all that, and when I tried to play it I found out it works quite well. On the other hand I think a well played Mine/Fujin/Kamikaze as well as Murmansk can be okay in the T6-max bracket. I dont want to hate on that list however. I agree with you, on all accounts. I used to go all pear shaped when people did not do well in a battle, never abused anyone in chat though. I never do that. But I swore so intensely it would peel paint off the walls here, and tore chunks of hair out of my head. Gave all that up. If people want to sail a so called "poor" ship in battle, and if they should perform badly in any way I know there's a new battle around the corner anyway. Also if only this ship works or that ship works, then we may as well all just play one ship for ranked. Will get boring fast and then what's the point of having a variation of ships in this game.
