Patch 0.5.6.1...

... will be installed on 02.06.2016 in the morning. Size of patch is aproximatelly 200 MB. There is not a lot of changes, the main objective was to prepare the game for the 4th season ranked battles.

Changes and Improvements

 

Balance changes to German cruiser "Admiral Hipper":

• Hull (A):
  • Main Battery 2: A "dead zone" near the ship removed
  • Main Battery 3: Firing arc adjusted to 290 degrees
• Hull (B):
  • Main Battery 2: Firing arc  adjusted to 290 degrees
  • Main Battery 3: A "dead zone" near the ship removed
• Hull ©:
  • Main Batteries 1, 2, 3, 4: Firing arcs adjusted to 290 degrees

 

Improvements of firing arcs for the old hulls (A) and (B), and a new hull © are designed to increase playability for the ship in all configurations.

 

 

Other Changes:

 

• Fixed a bug that caused uneven allocation of ship spawn points at the beginning of the battle on the Trident map.
• Fixed an issue that caused ships to appear underwater at the beginning of the battle on Trident map in some cases.
• When creating a division in the Ranked or Team Battle mode, the mode changes to Random Battle or Co-Op Battle if a player has game account of level 1-2.

Only those changes, there are lot more bugs present in 0.5.6 version that need to be fixed. And why no response to the bugs that have been reported? 

There are still those torpedoes that where supposed to be removed, and there was not free skill reset to affected ship captains as promised among other bugs.

So i guess we have to wait for the next large patch (0.5.7 ?) to get actually fixes for the things 0.5.6 f'ed up, mainly the german cruisers?

 

If they even gonna fix and admit, that this patch was a fail in almost every case.

Why isnt WG fixing the simple bugs that have been in the game for a very long time now.....

patch came with trouble for me - i can not update it - this is the last few messages from launcher logfile:

"system error: (0x570)"The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."" ... retrying in 1 sec (retry 5 of 5)

please note -  that the obvious solution ... deleting the "corrupted" files/folders and restarting the upgrade process did not appear to help with this.

2nd issue, but not specific to this patch is the launcher download option inflexibility as of late.
i would like to get an alternative to torrent download - my router dies everytime when it has to deal with torrents...(torrents open up hundrets of simultaneus connections, this causes a lot of grief on a router - some can cope with it better than others, but i cannot go and purchase another router just because wargaming want to be the only game company taking away any alternative to torrents)

i spent 10 minutes time finding the most fitting thread, all of them appeared to be locked.

edit: after complete uninstall, i was able to reinstall the game to latest patch level.
