I have requested (multiple times) that a moderator close this thread, but sadly it has not happened yet. Why they cant give the author of the thread the ability to do it I have no idea.

I`d buy her for those three magical Adidas stripes (very slavic :great: ) if I didn`t know that I`ll play her once or twice and forget. :sceptic:

Indeed!

Bought her, updated signature, played 1 game.

Got a 7 vs 7 domination game (not many people were on) and the battle was basically over by the time I could even get into the nearest cap circle.  Just as I got there an enemy tier 2 destroyer popped up and would have sunk me were it not for a friendly destroyer eating his torps before they could hit me and then an allied cruiser sinking him. That left a tier 1 cruiser on the enemy team who I embarrassingly failed to ram and was then killed by our cruiser and that was that.  As a gaming experience it had no value, merit or reward.

As a Japanese ship collector I do not regret buying her but I will not play her much, if ever, again.

Poor firepower overall (2 turrets each with 2 guns for a total of 4 guns), slow reload, terrible accuracy/dispersion  (fired 4 shots at 3km and all missed) and the usual slow turret traverse all packaged on a slow hull that isn't very agile.  I get the impression that enemy DDs will have no trouble whatsoever sailing into point blank range and torping you whilst you can do nothing about it (because like all low tier ships, the secondaries are mostly useless).  Meanwhile, enemy cruisers will just HE spam you to death, even if your repair and damage control means it will take a bit longer than usual.

If you want a Japanese premium BB get the Ishizuchi - for all its flaws it's still vastly superior to the Mikasa.

She can be fun if you have an experienced captain, boost the secondaries and hide behind islands until the enemy is close. I narrowly missed a KRAKEN in one of my last games because a friendly DD sank the last enemy CL that my secondaries had already reduced to a few HP.

what does that mean?

Back in a day (after collapse of Soviet Union and even in early 2000s) adidas was almost exclusive chav brand (alongside with eg. BMW - not without the merit called Banditen Motor Wagen), wore proudly as a (one among many) symbol of social (wealth) status.

Lot has changed since then and other brands replaced it by now, but it is still dominant in some parts of Eastern Europe.

Ishi is a useable ship. Has poor armour and you're better off using HE on everything but you'll hit stuff and be fast until this. Watch footage of the Nuke on YouTube!!

I would consider buying the Mikasa despite its bad reputation if it was cheaper and had a slightly better secondary range.

2000 doubloons is a lot for a T2 ship considering the price of other ships around that tier. The Tachibana and Smith cost half as much.

Furthermore the one redeeming quality of the Mikasa is difficult to utilize since even fully upgraded the range of the secondaries is only 3,78 KM (AFT+flag). At that distance a DD will easily be able to hit you with torpedoes considering how slow the Mikasa is.

Holy crap that was awesome.

Actually I tried squatting after watching this. I dont think it looked very badass but at least I instantly managed to avoid the western spy position.

True: no other ship from the 19th century in the game, I believe.

shes pretty much as old as most ships of the tier 2 (even tier 3 - bogatyr, st. louis) - except for chikuma which is about decade younger

and if you mean ships which have at least some 18.. in some of their dates (laid, launch, commissioned) - you can count USS Albany as well

This ship is crap in this game. Bought it several months ago. Poor range, only 4 main, long reload, terrible dispersion, slow, secondarys hit almost nothing.

Range would be no problem if there are only T2 ships.

Main guns are powerfull against dd and cruiser if they hit. With the dispersion of max 142m you don`t hit the small ships even if they are at 4 km.

Slow speed is ok if T3 US BS are in the game. They`re slow too.

The real slugthrower the secondarys are useless. They should hit at last 50% if the enemy is this close, which is 3,6 km. Already boostet.

Ok if you want somthing special. For real play, are better ships in  the shop.
