I miss the number of penetrations by AP shells in the new post-battle statistics. Old stats below, for reference.

Also, the screechy sound that plays upon maximizing groups on the Credits & XP page is not very pleasant.

I thought we were going to get ship names on the mini map or am I missing something?

Because something like that might actually be useful.

Well I can see the indicators for detection, max firing range and torpedo range, but no clue about the AA range that is included in the patch notes.... Does it have to be turned on somewhere'??

Well I can see the indicators for detection, max firing range and torpedo range, but no clue about the AA range that is included in the patch notes.... Does it have to be turned on somewhere'??

 

At the top right corner of the minimap, there's a new button which looks like a gear. Press and hold CTRL on your keyboard and then left click on that button for minimap options.

Can you remove the distance numbers from minimap please. While you're at it add ship names, get rid of torpedo circle and move the grid numbers adn letters to top and left side.

Can you remove the distance numbers from the minimap also when we have "alternative interface" switched on, pretty please? Or make them optional?

 

Apart from that, the new interface is great. Now we just need some customizable player bars, so we can see ship names instead of player names, and a depot, then it is about as good as it gets.

I really like it, but for me the font is a bit too large. Additionally, under Commander XP, there is a bar that displays the necessary XP until next commander rank. Currently, it says: "100/1000 (more 900)". "More 900" sounds weird in my ears, and I think a better option would simply be "Left: 900" or "Remaining: 900".

 

I've included a screenshot to show exactly what I mean.

I see that you killed 3 and damaged a further 3. The details of the damage to the 6th ship can be viewed by pressing the < > arrows either side of the ship list

You damaged 6 ships and you sunk 3 of them. 3 damaged + 3 destroyed = 6. So 3 kills + 3 kill assists.

Minimap - i like it, good change, and i appreciate that you can customize what is and what is not displayed.

it whould be good if we had the options also to display/hide the range circle for torpedo and guns too, but it's minor.


 

Post Battle statistics - i like it, but it whould be good if we could display somewhere the ration between AP shells hit / AP shells penetrated like before

I'll repeat the same feedback that I gave on public test. The new minimap is great, but gets very cluttered on my small screen. Please allow us to customise it further, by,

  • Letting us turn off any circles that we don't want. For example, I really don't need to see torpedo range in my Tirpitz. Actually, I don't think I need to see torp range in any ship - I know my torp range. Give me the option to turn that ring off.
  • Letting us turn off the numbers that show the sizes of the circles. They are unnecessary clutter, which obscure more important things on the minimap.

I love the way that the detectability circles expand when I shoot. That really helps with an intuitive understanding of the visibility penalty. It might be nice to have an option to show the unexpanded circles anyway, so that I can see at a glance "If I stopped shooting, would I become invisible at this distance?"

 

The new results screen is lovely, although as somebody else said, it would be nice to see the number of AP penetrations.

i think having the ship names in the chat and on mini maps would be two very welcome changes along with mini map transparency.

With the circles on the minimap, last known position, better post-battle stat screen, and the previous update's dynamic crosshair, pretty much all mods I've used get adapted into the game proper. That's awesome. :honoring:

 

I don't really mind the numbers on the circles, since after getting used to the information overload compared to the old one, you kind of tune them out most of the time. It was the same when starting with circles like that back when the mod for that worked. If there's more information displayed at any one time, it will take getting used to.

 

Ship names in battle chat and on minimap, and damage dealt during the battle is all that's left now (other than minor graphical ones, like more visible torpedoes, coloured borders, and warning icons).

Is a  UI scaler possible for 4k users, It seems like the hud is the same resolution as at 1080p when running 4k which results in everything being 1/4 the size.

 

The map and chat window are the main problem areas even on max zoom they are both still really small

I like the new User Interface, good job WG.

 

There's one bit that clutters up the screen a bit that I think we could live without though - do we really need a number next to the ring?

If the distance is the ring, we don't need to know what that distance is.

Either remove the numbers or give us the option to remove the numbers please.

I found a solution for the problem! Open preferences.xml in the main WoWs folder and scroll down until you find <minimapOptions>. You can write true or false for the options you want or don't want. It's also possible to turn on/off the firing ranges for main guns and torpedoes. For your problem, you need to change <mgRangeEnabled>   to true.
