There you can only see AP shots fired, AP shots hit and the damage they did. Generally AP hits are useless without relation to penetrations, because you can hit a battleship 1 000 times with AP 130mm and won't penetrate it reliably. You introduce such nice changes as new maps new options... than you blew it all up trying to deceive players with dubious info, errors, omissions, taking advantage of convenient bugs to call it "changes". I mean, WG turned this patch into a giant joke. How much time did it took you to find the placements for new AA on German ships? 1 minute? How can you release false info on IJN DDs? Why do you hide so many changes? Why not mentioning the stupid consequences of some of the changes? Why saying free redistribution of skills and then zip? This is no patch notes. anonym_gxxGX7KaxQVa Players 89 posts Report post #9 Posted May 26, 2016 the "FREE LOOK" text that appear on screen while holding the free look camera is very annoying. the whole purpose of this camera is to look around and have beautiful angles of your ships and the battle -why ruin the view with a big white text infront of your ship ?? it's distracting, ugly, and most importantly- it's totally pointless : you need to hold the button to stay in Free View. so obviously i KNOW i'm in free view since i'm holding the button, there is NO need at all for an indicator to remind me! there is no way even a new player whould go in free view and then forget about it and get confused since you need to HOLD the Damn Button! remove the text pls... pretty please ? 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
anonym_gxxGX7KaxQVa Players 89 posts Report post #10 Posted May 26, 2016 another issue: the AA guns now continuing to fire on a Designated squadron (with Ctrl+click) even if you turned your AA guns off: this is VERY bad for destroyers: if an enemy ship suddenly appear or for whatever reason you need to go stealth and stop firing, you'll be stuck with your AA continuing to fire and getting you spotted as long as the enemy squadron stay in your AA range! (which can be 5 km on destroyers) the players who proposed this change must be poeple who Never played Destroyers a single game is the only thing i can conclude... i seriously think you should reconcider this change. other than that and a few minor gripses, it's a good patch and i like the new maps and rebalance a lot! shoutout to the Bow Waves of ships who got bigger , nicer and more detailed, i don't know if anobody else than me noticed, but good job to whoever worked on it! I have speced my Iowa captain with the tier 5 skill and have the module mounted. At longer ranges it is not as apparent since the shots are lobbed, but at close range it is clearly visuable as the shots splash close to the ship with no effect. When right mouse button is pressed it zooms out. 2. When right mouse button is held it's possible to turn the camera. Now comes the important feedback: 3. When right mouse button is de-pressed the camera for the turrets should use the camera zoom out/zoom in position and the turrets should start rotating towards that zoom out/zoom in camera position ! Right now the zoom out/zoom back in mode is completely retarded... the turrets will be pointing towards were they were and so do the turret cameras... this makes the zoom out/zoom back in mode pretty much useless to rotate the camera quickly and efficiently... it's actually counter-productive when trying to avoid torps... and quickly changing camera to other position. THIS NEW DESIRED FUNCTIONALITY IS BADLY NEEDED TO FIGHT DESTROYERS PROPERLY... one enemy DD sneaking up left side and one enemy DD right side and this current ZOOM out/ZOOM in is a total death trap !... Implement it properly ! Basically what this means is: DO NOT ZOOM BACK IN TO TURRET CAMERAS... just stay outside with the camera... I think that would be better. MUCH BETTER. Thank you and have a nice day ! (Going to copy this to user interface as well... just in case ! ;)) There is an option to disable this weird camera behaviour... it was probably re-enabled during update, so new feedback: COPY OLD SETTINGS TO NEW SETTINGS DURING UPDATE ! (For now I have left shift disabled because it interefers with carrier, I am not sure if shift is usuable for this... will check it out later..) I have tried playing on a clean install. In safe mode. With mods. Changed graphic stteings. Nothing helps. I took a look at my taskmanager while playing, and it showed huge loading spikes on CPU and SSD, everytime a ship came into view. This didn't happen before 5.5.0, but after, it's almost unplayable. Please optimize this new filesystem you have implemented, because it is apparently really poorly made. And because of this, it is nearly impossible to get anything done in that GNB event. Can you tell me, please, if any german premium cruiser will be introduced in a near future - on tier VI (.. +/- one tier)? Premium tier II is too low for me, tier VIII still too high ... so, some premium german cruiser "somewhere in the middle" (e.g. like soviet Molotov, or planned japanise Tone) would be the best for me! And buffing AA and AP damage 13100 on 406mm guns on NC also the turret angle adjustmust to 15 degree does not makes sense as now she can use all 9 guns at 30 degrees now she has more fire power more rudder shift 13.8 even less than amagi's 13.9 s so can now outmatch amagi with almost everything. Amagi has 410mm guns with far less penetration 12600. When Radar is activated Radar Antennae starts spinning around. This gives destroyers some chance to figure out if radar is active or not on enemy ship by zooming into it. Everyone is too spread out and the BB are often spawned with no escort, so a CV will eat them easily at the start of a match. There is also no incentive to have players push into the middle unless they are in a Blysc or some other HE-spamming-from-the-mist DD.
