WG roadshow accounts

So... I want to complain. A lot. About those WG roadshow accounts that get into the TX games.

Here's why: Last few games I ended up on the recieving end of the rng hammer that is the matchmaker and got one or two of those accounts in my battles (sometimes on my team sometimes on the other) and yes while they may be unskillled and easy kills that is not my concern, since they might end up on both teams. In my last battle a "friendly" Montana piloted by one of those accounts decided that it would be a great idea to test her guns on his teamates, especially me... So I get fired upon ( with HE, is anybody suprised? ) Got set on fire at one spot and disabled engine... so what can I do, I press the damage control and ask in chat not to be shot upon by friendlies... As soon as the Montana is reloaded here comes the second salvo... 3 fires... YAY... And with the damage control on cooldown guess who won't be much use in this battle due to low hp? Yup that's right.... With the added benefit of not getting enough credits to break even... You may say that there is a compensation, and while there is, 25K credits seems more like adding insult to injury...

But I could get over that quite easily, if it had been a normal account, since he turned pink and got reported by most of our team. The main issue is, that IT DOESN'T MATTER! There are 0 ramifikations to theese accounts, because they are at some convention and rotating people in and out and that douchebag who did this will never feel any of that punishment!

What would I propose as a solution? Well there are more ways... First is to make a WG account pay double/tripple compensations for damage to allies (I doubt that it would be exploitable, since you'll need a ton of luck to get into the same battle as your friend on the same team etc.) Second idea that comes to mind is put them in lower tiers, where they can't do as much damage, because the repair and rearming costs are lower.

Post battle results if anyone's interrested... Note that Montana...

Edit: Spelling mistakes

I have only run into these sort of accounts twice. Both times they were on the enemy team.

One was in a Montana and I done about 60k flooding damage to him. I dont think he know about the damage control party.

Oh, reminds me of the times the Bismarck and Tirpitz introduction, before one hit the premium shops, saw 1-3 per side every battle, those WG_''whatever'' BOTS sailing one or the other, kills the fun aspect of the game if you get more of them than the enemy team....

Just got into a 7v7 T10 game with one of those Roadshow accounts in each team. Hakuryu and Midway...

The Midway got accidentally torp-bombed in one run by me, while roaming around and launching planes left and right, before i understood what the name meant by "Roadshow".

Our Hakuryu got Long-Range torpedoe'd by a Gearing in return, he didn't even try moving away from spawn.
I just want to stress that this might not be a great experience for those players to be put in a T10 battle without knowledge of the game...

because not all of those players are terribly bad, ive played with one of those accounts, and immediatly you get cursed at because of playing on such accounts.

I've been to one of them, got games in a Fletcher, Yamato and a minekaze.

Did great in the fletcher (4 caps, 3 kills over 3000 base xp),

Did meh in the yamato (ended up winning but around halfway on the team).

made a mistake in the minekaze and got detonated on the first hit i took from a Omaha.... damn you RNG.

but the people that were there did alright, sure at higher tiers it's tough but you can't write them off as useless..

95% you can. lots of them cant even get 10k in yamato.

they should either limit tiers at max t5 where there is max server population and will not make much difference, or limit them to coop.

You can't really do a game promotion showing st Louis and Kawachi, when game is all about sailing big ships and firing bigger guns

I guess said "roadshow" account came from yesterday event tied to Błyskawica as museum ship:rolleyes: And being blunt, amount of kids there was astonishing at times.

I don't think a promotion where people will just get rekt and make their team loose is gonna make those people keep playing the game.

"Look mommy, I is of sailing Yamatings! It makes pew pew! Buy me one nao!"

And looking at queue back then, plenty of people of various kind - kids, teenagers, even middle aged just wanted to get rekt. That and/or toy with RC tanks behind truck:rolleyes:

Last night we had one of these.  It was already a bad MM and our only T10 after DDs was a Yamato.  However, it's being driven by one of these roadshow accounts.  Its first action was to immediately drive into an island where it spent the next 5 minutes trying to reverse and turn to go around the island.  Finally it's free and gets into torpedo soup open sea where, oblivious to oncoming torpedoes, it collides with a Roon and pushes the Roon back into the path of the torpedoes that the Roon was trying to avoid; killing the Roon and soaking up two torpedoes itself.

Finally after 10 minutes of battle it gets around to firing its guns after having them pointed the wrong way for the entirety of the match so far and it proceeds to plant a whole salvo into a mountain.  Meanwhile it still hasn't bothered to repair any flooding or fire damage when the enemy CV decides to come calling with TBs and mercifully finished him off with an anvil attack presuming that a Yamato captain might be a wise customer to TB tactics.

So why the [edit] WG would you put such a sap into a T10 game who quite clearly has never played WoWs before?!   It completely spoiled our side's chances of winning, was responsible for one of our side's deaths and contributed absolutely nothing to our efforts.  Why the [edit] would you put them in a T10 match; why the [edit] didn't you put them in a PvE game or better still just setup a Training Room at your damned conference on the Ocean map and let them blast away at an Unarmed and Inactive BB.  Otherwise expect the volumes of toxic chat that player and WG got last night as an advertisement for what your game and company are like in the less than respectful way that you treat your player base by doing this kind of [edit]ed up retard feces at a roadshow.  We are the paying and long term players who you [edit]ed over purely to let somebody who isn't a customer get some drunken lols.

If I see another one I will just give WG and WoWs so much negative blow back in chat that I doubt that player will ever want to go near your product again.

/justified rant

It would be childlishly easy to program the game to throw teamkill damage back to the attacker.

Thus the noob would get direct and immediate feedback that his actions are not acceptable. Even a baby would learn it very quick.

But somehow WG is resilient to simple, easy to implement solutions to (what seems at first glance) complex problems.

It sucks a liitle. It was said sooooo many times in the past we don´t need to be here AGAIN and AGAIN :(

I played with the PC gamer reviewer account (or something like that) some time ago. He got a lexington and he did not launch his planes...just kept going forward till enemies destroyed him. Was quite funny :). But i have no idea what a review will someone write based of this game....maybe "I sucked but my team carried my sorry [edited]to victory..."

I read that review (it was with the code for that tier 2 Jap DD). Although I think he said he did launch planes and torp ships. Still, I have seen a Hummel in Wintersdorf at the front line doing an impression of a TD. He didn't last long. There's always people who don't know the Shift key exists within WG games.

I am sure there were no planes in that game. Maybe he played more games later and did better (=launch planes).....I was telling people not to flame him or that he will write bad review :).
