Jolly Roger Pirate Flag

Hey guys, 

 

 have been thinking about my Jolly Roger Pirate Flag and came up with some ideas about these flags in the future

1)Flags should be unique - I think that even giving the same flag for the three seasons of ranked battles was a little bit unwise, I think these flags should without any questioning set the event for which they have been awarded.

2)Flags should be accessible - there could/should be events all around for all flags - for me - to be honest the Jolly Roger Pirate Flag is my pride of gaming

 

And that fact (pride of gaming) is another good reason, why in the possible future ranked meatgrinder, I would find it preferable to have another type of flag for achieving rank 1 - because some of us already have the flag and there is some reward for winning, but if you already have the flag its kind of not so motivating is it I mean I didnt really go for the third ranked battles, cause I already had the flag - played some games but the fact is the ranked battles were utter hard and without the vision of the unique flag at the end - there was just little reason to go through the hell of all these committed players.

for someone like me who mods his/her flag files the fact they keep getting shifted around every major patch is trouble enough. Ive got to be honest I really don't want to have to keep re-doing the flag mod every month because of a new flag from a random competition

Hm that should be taken into consideration - I dont actually know what are you talking about basically but mods are always an issue.

 

long story short the flags are arranged on a .DDS file so the game can quickly place the image onto the flag pole of the ship.

 

 

when new flags are added the flags are often re-arranged so when you log in after each new patch the flags may be mis-matched. this means you have to re do the mod file...

The way they do the Jolly roger flag is fantastic!!! I have not got 1 yet but to my understanding you get flag A the first time you get to rank 1. there is a new flag the second time and so on!!! This way it shows the players that repeatedly acheave rank 1

jolly roger for example is a verry iconic flag.

 

you want someone who is new to the game to never be able to get it? (considering you already have it thats aeasy to say....)

i myself did not have the time the last 3 seasons to play for rank 1, but want to do it once or twice some day.

and im glad i am not pressured to do so by some stupid deadline.

I don't care and take no notice if people are flying these flags. I have a closed beta one which I have no intention of ever flying. If you feel you need the epeen then fair enough. But to be honest I am rarely close enough or have the time in battle to look at a flag ( let alone have a clue what most are for as i just don't care) . Just as I don't have the right port enabled in game to see the stupid ARP crap.

I agree, but when u get your unique flag - may it be some other new flag - wouldnt you like to have it unique then?

i think every flag should be optainable on multiple occasions.

the only restriction i like to see is that the effort is the same every time (as close as possible)

actually, i like the idea of flags being rewarded after you achieve rank 1 X times. And with this 5 different flags should be enough, imagine what the file will look like after some years (it is like 3-5 new flags every year, no?)

Then again, there were a lot of different historical pirate flags; some with the skull-and-crossbones motif, some without. I doubt WG would ever run out of inspirational themes for flags.
