I have to decide literally between aids or ebola... it's either i don't have the information that i want on the screen over the ships (via standard interface) because i don't want the numbers on the minimap... Or i have the information of the ship over it meanwhile i have these awefull numbers on the minimap... next thing is that i doN#t need the torp range permanently.. i need it only when i have selected it.. same applies to HE/AP guns... sry... but it's just too crowded for me... and i just prefere the old minimap over the new one... and try to figure out how far you can shoot with torps: these numbers just doN#t move left,right up and so on... if they get out of the minimap... and this minimap just feels like we need one more feature.. do you know this mod? replicate it fast... so that we have one more feature for 0.5.6 Edited May 18, 2016 by MasaruKondera Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

In case someone makes a yamato + myogi division and a BB is spoted on other side of minimap (where I dont have the view range to see it myself) I have to guess which BB it is? I really have a hard time seeing the upgrade between the Furutaka and the Aoba now. You get better RoF, range and AA, but you lose a lot of turret traverse speed, accuracy and those great torps. The are indeed annoying... and as said before.. you can't turn them off in the alternative interface... which i would love to see... and yeah the torp range is displayed always and can't be turned off either... [ROGUE] SunSkaRe Beta Tester 268 posts 27,066 battles Report post #19 Posted May 18, 2016 (edited) It was just keeping it like it is right now... when you have guns selected minimap show the circle with max range for guns, when you select torps minimap replaces the circle for guns with the one for torps (no need to keep both always displayed...) Then add the circle for detection and minimap names and last spoted position and we're golden... Everything else like numbers, AA auras and whatnot could just give them a on/off button for whoever wants it... Still new minimap seems a step in the right direction as current minimap is pretty crap to be honest Edit: oohh and are the names of the players on the planes?... and the distance at which the spoter/fighter planes are from our ship? Plus you of course also get one tier worse MM. and more hp perhaps? ah and iirc Furu does not have access to AA barrage ability, so only fighter plane and hydroacc.... does furu have hydro search anyway? don't really remember any ways once this hits I will deffo rebuy furu for credit farming purposes So torp range is now always displayed? Sounds completely useless to me. And those numbers on there do indeed seem annoying. well personally for me when I'm driving DD/CA it may have that small little use of not having to swap to torpedo when I only want to check if the guy is in their range...... Same happens at all tiers that you have no idea of actual identity of ships outside your drawing/rendering distance. Just pres ctrl and choose what you want displayed. not really... in the old version the torp/HE&AP radius would be only active if you would have selected the torps/HE&AP... now it's always active... permanently... so you can't have the old one anymore...
