[SLOTH] txtspeak Players 3,041 posts 5,653 battles Report post #1 Posted May 15, 2016 This would be an interesting one, it's never going to happen but it would be nice to imagine, anyone who has watched/listened to/read war of the worlds knows what thunder child is, for those that dont, go ahead and read/listen/watch it it's freaking good! regardless of how old it is. but basically, a passenger ship attempts to leave britain which is being overrun by martians, as it does a tripod appears in the sea and another one at the port, so a ship, dont know whether its a cruiser or battleship or whatever, called Thunder child sails out to fight the martian. and it takes out a single fighting machine before two more fighting machines rise from the water pacific rim style and torch the ship with their heat rays. I dont think the Thunder child would've used torpedoes. It would have armour piercing only and you would have to fire at this specific weak spot on the tripod. your goal would be to protect the steamer and the martian would fire its heat rays occasionally. actually kinda reminds me of the gaijilla event in war thunder where they had a giant lightning-eye shooting snail crawling over and destroying berlin Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
