Between this and Jutland I think WG have done a terrific job this week.

The most important news from Ph3lan's post is:

They are willing to listen to our feedback and they are willing to learn. So the only thing that helps is constructive criticism. Some people have posted just that, but it's harder and harder to sift those helpful posts out from all the salt.

I like that you want to solve it in a cultural way.

But the fact is that the end of GNB is very dissapointing and frustrating.

We expected something big. WG was reading those expectations. So 10 camos... I belive they have a big laugh at us.

Additive with signals(flags) and first victory.

Multiplicative with premium account and premium ship.

First victory?

Don't the GBN camouflages only add +20% credits (plus the usualy -3% detecabtility and -4$ enemy accuracy when firing on your ship) or is there a hidden XP bonus?

Or does the first win of the day also give bonus credits?

There is no hidden XP bonus.

First victory only affects XP, not credits. Would be the first time i hear that.

Same here, which is why I was asking if I missed something.

Fully agree. All in all they are making an effort to improve for the future which is awesome. Imagine what great things might come of this in later years. I cant w8 to see what the next event will be like. Keeping my fingers crossed it wont be too long :)

And even those were easy enough to be made, to reach the lottery-level. Giving it out to everyone at a certain level was an afterthought and one would assume that they'd have written any conditions to getting a potential secret premium-ship, after the last such event., ESPECIALLY since the Kamikaze and the lottery-conditions were KNOWN. You people are just way too greedy, really. I want free premiums as much as the next one, but the entitled behaviour hereabout really begins to get on everyone's tits by this point in time.

oh really we are gready because we know oure time is worth something ?

had i spend the entire time working i invested to grind (extra time i would not have spend gaming normaly)

i would have been able to buy most of the comercialy availible premium ships. (combined! not single if that is unclear)

so i dont see why im greedy when i expect a  nice mid tier prem ship for the effort.

15 million goal:

Enables a  non-"killXships"-mission to get the special "Jutland Anniversary" flag (+5%XP/Credits/Com.XP)

Two problems solved in one step:

- A good final reward for GNB

- Fixing the disaster of not having anything special for the biggest naval battle in world history (Leyte, bla bla...).

Managing this region is not that difficult...

(Gimme a contract and home office and I will #MakeEUgreatAgain)

To be fair:

Would you've worked in absence of a grind? And if yes, would've spend the earned money on premium ships?

Quantifying opportuny costs that aren't mutually exclusive is quite problematic as an argument since you're basically just quanitfying the middle man (time spent playing or not) rather than the value of each action based on how you use your time.

Not saying I don't get your argument. Some people did grind for the event more than they would've liked and might've wanted to spend the time doing something more enjoyable, but directly equating the theoretic difference to monetary value is a long shot, since contrary to the overly simplified saying: time =/= money, only time spent earning money = money.

... and I just realized I went into lecture mode. Unless interested in economic semantics, disregard :hiding:

I'm not happy either, you can believe me. The saltstorm was important, we showed how the event felt for us. My point is, we got an official response that basically said: We hear you. It's not 'solved', but it's a start.

I expected something bigger as well, especially when I saw how similar this event looked compared to Project R. In the end it feels like false advertising, even if it wasn't intended for sure.

They are trying, but why do they have to be such slow learners?

I proposed  WG to hire us as PRs. More good sense here than in their 'creative' offices.

Seriously.

They answered that they will organize another event where If u will collect and eat 1000 crapcakes then will be hired

haha i dont mind im in an economics masters programm.

and my argument was theoretical just to show that the extra time spend on grinding has some worth

(and since im some kind of self employed it was less theoretical than you might think because i def. had the posibility to do so)

For a self-emploied, you're remarkably lacking sense of scale. They have to create a ship, which is a metric fuckton of work adn as I said earlier: Do you expect a ship for every such event? Where will this end? Techtrees not being build, because all the ships are already premiums for people like you? Besides, there are two new premium ships in the event, which you could have gotten easily: Katori and Smith.

Yeah, what the hell is that thing?

I've already seen it in the first week I seem. No serious explanations.

Yeah, what the hell is that thing?

If it's the same as last time, it's just a dummy mission to refresh the number of diamonds given through community contributor giveaways.

they do not

the kamikaze r was a model they already had, they just had to slap on as camo which a skilled employe will have ready in a day max.

and everybody was fine with it. (i dare to say everyone was even pretty happy about the ship)

for example:

they just could have taken the regular t4 german bb slap prem status and a camo on it done

nearly everbody would have been crazy happy about it.

and it would even have sevred the purpose to hype the new tech tree which is in WG marketing intrest.

[edit] as for the katori and smith

only the smith is new. (katori was in game in alpha or beta )

and the problem why they are not regarded as propper rewards is the fact that nothing below tier 4-5 is worth playing other than just for the reason to do something else than usual....

Dear WG: wake up your brains, please :( I really liked this GNB event, I really DID. Not anymore.

Alright, I can't argue with obvious nice things like ships and other goodies out of the chests. But ten camouflages?! Ten camouflages?! The biggest event in the game and such a lousy final reward. I hope you are joking :(

I agree. Almost the same ship with a different camo begins an 'exclusive' premium one (like Emden and Dresden or Minekaze, Fujin and Kamikaze), and all are magically enthusiastic. Another evidence about how it could easily work is the ARP series.  Actually 6 premium ships (with no bonuses) +  the original ones = 8 ships with 2 models.

And more: SMS Stuttgart and SMS Stettin (Class sisters of Konigsberg) partecipated at the Jutlland Battle too! They could kill two birds with one stone! U gift a commemorative ship (pratically the same u already have got in ur database) and pump up the sales of ur commemorative flags to complete the ship. (I think to all obsessive collectors: 'OMG, I've the commemorative ship.  I MUST TO HAVE THE FLAG TOO!!!!!) :medal:

All happy at 0 costs. So hard to plan it as ending in GNB since beginning?. But no, too easy. Better a shi tstorm.

Bah, maybe in that moment they were 'busy' (= drunken) as yesterday.
