Omg ... career diplomats must have really hard job ... if only one event like GNB can cause so much confusion, misunderstandings, and mainly .. "flames" on the forum.

 

Ok, I have been participating in GNB since the beginning. I have chosen Katori and Smith for collected diamonds, and what´s more .. received some special cammos, some dublons, and "Sea Dog" flag, .. etc.

I can´t reach the Sea Lion flag, but ... ok, that flag is for the best players, really the best. So ... may be "next time" for me.

 

GNB have not finished yet, so I don´t know now what the "surprise" will be after reaching 15M. But ... it will be a gift from WG side ... thx for the gift in advance!  Thx a lot !

I just love how they answer "in hindsight we can see why people expected a premium ship" while there has been speculation on what ship it could be for weeks.

 

Its amazing how anyone that puts in something like 30 minutes on the forum a day can see what the expectations are from the forum going people but paid community managers are somehow oblivious.

Seriously what the heck are you all doing because i find it very hard to believe anyone is seriously spending attention to these forums.

And not getting any response about the potential issue of the indianapolis not having its xp counted towards the 100k mission reinforces that impression.

Now that you mention it: At this point WGs way of telling nobody about the status of a already presented premium ship backfired quite heavily with the end of this event. It all would've gone diffently if they said: 'though Campelltown won't be ready for her memorial, she will be sold during the GNB'

Wargaming should be very concerned to see that their latest batch of screw ups are all communication related.

Not having enough staff on hand to communicate to the players has been an issue for wows since what ? more then a year ?

Grindfest? Really? I came in on week 2 and zero trouble doing all the weekly missions. I almost got my 200th battle today and am somewhat confident, that I can reach the 300-mark by the factual end of the event kKill-missions are nearly all done as well and I'm not even trying hard.. Besides, the 12m-mark is a community goal. You could've entered the event, not made a single ruby/diamond and still would've gotten the prize. Think about that for a moment.

And even those were easy enough to be made, to reach the lottery-level. Giving it out to everyone at a certain level was an afterthought and one would assume that they'd have written any conditions to getting a potential secret premium-ship, after the last such event., ESPECIALLY since the Kamikaze and the lottery-conditions were KNOWN. You people are just way too greedy, really. I want free premiums as much as the next one, but the entitled behaviour hereabout really begins to get on everyone's tits by this point in time.

Well color me disappointed. I was hoping for at least a good Tier 4 premium (since we could get some collector ships along the way). Oh well...

 

EDIT: To be clear, I didn't expect everybody participating to get the ship. Either they could make a necessary amount of collected diamonds for it, or they could make it a reward for one of the missions that are milestones of GNB.

sorry to burst your little bubble, but you are entitled to -NOTHING- at all as far as this event goes.

they said right for the start that the goal was secret. secret can mean anything. if you're not OK with that, then don't participate

 

-Besides: the crate rewards were very generous already, several premium ships, several premium days, a bunch of unique camos, 100 doubloons, a port slot, and a bunch of flags, all this for free. to be honest i'd already have been very satisfied with just those crate rewards alone, but we got all the mission comunity goals -ON TOP OF IT-

it's also VERY cool that they let you choose the reward you want instead of having pre-set rewards (which guarentees you'll only get stuff YOU want for every single one of your diamonds)

 

-Besides: the secret reward is a community goal: if you're not OK with grinding many games or don't have the time, then Don't ! you'll get it and all the other community goal anyway as long as you earned just 1 diamond... come on! that's already incredibly generous as it is!

 

the only point in the entire event where WG can be legitiamtely criticized is with the Poor communication when the event seemed to end early because of the glitch.

when that happened, they should have set a message on the event page (not just the forum cause not everyone in the community goes there!) that clearely explains it wasn't intended and the event will continue untill the planeed date.

and also explain if the 15 Million goal is a new actual secret reward, or just a placeholder so progress is still recorded for those who want to complete missions later.

PS: i liked that event a lot, the rewards were cool, and i enjoyed this event! being able to choose what you want with the crate system was a nice touch too, Thanks a lot for that WG, and good job besides the little early ending mishap.

Greedy? The whole "It's a secret" thing led to a lot of speculations, yes, but the 10 camo result is simply frustrating. It is infact such a minor "prize" that they could have just put that in the description like the other milestones. Even the personal goal of earning 20 diamonds is worth more for newer players.

The event wasn't executed perfectly and it wasn't communicated perfectly (to say the least). However, we got to choose from a couple of prem ships and 11 days premium time for free. And the personal rewards are nice, too. So, may I ask kindly: Please calm your tits!

They are willing to listen to our feedback and they are willing to learn. So the only thing that helps is constructive criticism. Some people have posted just that, but it's harder and harder to sift those helpful posts out from all the salt.

Fully agree. All in all they are making an effort to improve for the future which is awesome. Imagine what great things might come of this in later years. I cant w8 to see what the next event will be like. Keeping my fingers crossed it wont be too long

actually i hope it will be a while, because im not able to do a grind feast again soon (i just cant stomach it)

Whatever food is insipid without salt. Have u ever eat a such one? So WG apparently invited us to a banquet but offered us an isipid meal. So we have to put in the salt, and we've  VERY MUCH salt. They're tasting it since yesterday. I don't know it really, but i think they like a so salty meal as we like the 10 camos.

Exactly, getting 1-2 premium ships was quite easy, and without 1000 diamonds needed.
