I really hoped for a something simillar to Kamikaze which is awesome and I like her very much.

 

I missed both Kamikaze R and the Fujin because of "RL" and hope they will show up again at some point in the future 

 

Maybe this comes through different channels of information (Forum, Website, Facebook) so maybe unify this and it'll be easier to manage all outgoing information.

Omg so much salt for those that didn't do a mission and missed out on getting to 1k.

The event has been a success except for one thing... the sheer numbers of afk ships in games to hit 500 battles.

That is my sole issue with this, I hope a lesson had been learned by WG and even more potentially vain hope, that action will be taken against persistent afk filth. It is ridiculous to reward this behaviour and has been hugely detrimental to game play.

I knew I wouldn't have time for 500 battles and accepted that 1k diamonds would be out of reach.

It is unrealistic to expect greater availability of more than 1k from the missions.

As for premium ship, when all the other milestones were related to missions, where the hell did people dream that up from?

For the record, the it's a secret is still there for the 15m so who knows what will happen? Wait and see?

In the meanwhile, relax, finish your missions, spend the diamond you earned and enjoy your rewards. If you got the 1k, congratulations. If you fell short, as I will, it's not the end of the world.

I just hope that people are not so burned out from it to stop them enjoying the mega captain experience available from the weekend after it ends.

I actually wished they would upgrade the flags as the secret reward. And that the 10 camos were just a bonus for the confusion about the event ending yesterday.

Let me start with a short explanation of our intentions behind the Grand Naval Battles. As you guys probably know this event is very similar to Project R, however for this event we wanted to incorporate all the feedback we received from you guys and basically tailor the event to the wishes of the EU region.

I am pretty sure that feedback for Project R included a better information management - f.e. not limiting important information to news articles, but to show them on the event page as well.

Instead of focusing too much on the global goals we wanted to give you more freedom in how you could use your diamonds with your personal mission. The global milestones were still a great incentive for the whole EU community to work towards a common goal and the rewards were nothing to scoff at, but they were not the main focus this time around. Despite our best intentions we might have raised your hopes a bit too high with secret reward at the end without giving any indication of how big it actually was. You could say that the personal missions were the cake and the global goals were the icing. Maybe we could have emphasized this idea a bit more in our communications, this is a lesson learned for the future.

Looking back I can see why you guys might have thought that there is a premium ship waiting there, however our intention was to give you an opportunity to get several exclusive premium ships in the personal missions (alongside some cool physical prizes and a lot smaller in-game rewards).

 

Another thing we should have communicated clearer is the structure of the event. While we stated in the forums that one player can achieve a maximum of 1000 (except if they won on contributor activities) and that we will have 4 sets of weekly mission, this might be not as clear for players only browsing the website. This is another thing we have to work on for our next event.

The event may not be perfect but I would like to believe that it is better than the last and that even despite the hiccups towards the end you guys are having a blast taking part and spending your diamonds. We will try to hammer out even more of the problems for the next event and while it may never be perfect we will always make an effort to make it better than the last one!

 

wow im hugely disapointed.

i did the  retarded as F**** grind feast in expectance of getting something valuable out oof it like the kamikaze wich is a ship i play regularly

 

but the prizes are just fu**** up, ive taken the diamond prizes for soem small stuff to take along because:

- they are only  nice to look at in port

- take em out once in a while just for the lulz

- none of the ships is  on a seriusly played tier level wich would be atleast IV or V

- the commemorative flags dont even give a small bonus like 2.5/5% caiptain xp or something are therefore worthless e-peen. (compare it tuo the uber flag NA server got for doing basically 4 laughable missions)

 

knowing what i know now i wouldnt have done anything for the event !

 

sry if you compare the grind  to the kamikaze event i do not see any relation of effort to reward

im reallly mad/sad/disapointed right now.

Oh, finally someone put is face and gives an exaustive explanation. Have u raffled off which one of u had to peep out and have u lost the draw, is it? Were u all too drunken to write it yesterday, better if in the official news and not in the forum? Anyway i'm glad u are understanding our critics, cause they would be constructive critics, not complains. Now, just to do a 'peace treaty' with ur players, why don't u add a new set of missions to complete ur apologies and our goals? Is it so difficult to do it? If it is gift us directly 50 diamonds and it's done.

The premiums in itself are mostly collector ships, while Kamikaze R and Fujin are good ships, so this even does not even remotely compare in terms of rewards. On the other hand, it was a big load of grind.

 

For ten flags. Ten matches and those are gone. One month of work for about an afternoon of flags. No one at WG came to the conclusion that grinding a month long for that secret reward could upset the players when they realize they've been screwed with?

All that grind for... 10x the camo. Worth like 250k credits and that's one or two high tier games. Weekly missions tend to have more valuable rewards. 

 

People can get T2 premiums - apart from collectors who plays T2 premiums. Kamikaze R is a T5 and it was a proper reward for such an event. Expected maybe some secret WWI dreadnought from upcoming german BB line in regards to Jutland anniversary

 

Serious fail from WG. And personally for me "special missions" after the event are worth nothing if they will be active only for the weekend.

Well, i wanted us to reach the 12 million goal. So i played more than i actually would have, because if you do the math, then 24000 players would have needed at least half (500) of the gettable diamonds. Just wanted to contribute to the community. Don't get me wrong, i bought the Smith and the Katori. But they are not on an interesting tier for me, so they will probably draw dust in the port forever to be honest. I was just -hoping- that the goal would be something permanent, like the upgrade of the flags as i wrote above. Not something that is gone after 10 battles.

Please WG for the next event don't do :

• Missions to kill any number of ships 
• Missions to play any number of battles. This could be acceptable if you say that you have to be in the top 7 in experience.
• Secret missions. All the details of the events should be perfectly clear from the beginning.

If the "secret" goal is something as small as 10 camos, you are better off revealing it from the start. Then people can clearly see that it was just a stretch goal.

The really astonishing thing is that none of them in WG staff prevented a such kind of reaction from the players..... that was instead absolutely obvious.... I wish I would know where WG hires its PR employees....maybe among Mr. Bean's relatives.

To say the truth I haven't noticed more AFK players. "Tomato" players yes, but not AFK or bots - it was a normal number.

 

And yes - the event was great and I achieved 1000 diamonds so I got 3 premium ships, 1 port slot, 100 doublons, 200 camos, 10 flags, 100 credits, consumables, and there is going to be new missions after GNB. So that is a lot and I'm glad for that because I've only play game and had something more from it.

 

BUTT

 

What I am moaning about is the 12 mln achievement.

I think we all hope for something big. The normal prizes was awesome and very great so when we saw "IT IS A MYSTERIOUS" we thought for something mysterious too.

Not 10 camos...

Well. I did not get my goal (Katori) because I could not force myself to gring.

I played on Fridays while drunk-divisioning with friens (i.e. play for fun) and some odd Saturdays when I had nothing else to do.

 

Still managed to get 400 diamonds. Spent them to some flags and prem time.

 

I is fine with this.

I hope this question doesn't get lost among the outrage.

 

I am currently on 980 gems having finished every mission including this weeks repeatable mission. Will there be another repeatable mission before the end of the event to allow me to reach 1000? How else can I get those 20 gems?
