Given that one of this week's missions is worth 40 diamonds (where all of week one's were 20), there's a reasonable chance that later weekly missions might give more (and presumably be harder). 

 

 

So it may (note "may") be possible for people to get 1k diamonds without needing 500 games etc

can you comment if our (and by "our" I mean mine as well as some others as obviously not everybody shares my opinion) feedback about that aggravatingly unfair p2w XP mission has reached home?

(as well as play 500 games ........ afk or using bots basically, if most team you get and run into are a measurement)

But you don't "absolutely need premium time".  Poor players might.  People only using tier 2 might.  But does the only way to do it require premium time?  No.

There is a difference between "theoretically possible and can be expected from people" and "not being able to rule out without a doubt". I give you another term: "highly unlikely over the age of the observable universe" -> So if we reach that, is it p2w then?

 

Look at the result above and then tell me your opinion again: 

 

- is that Fletcher a poor player that should l2p?

- is that Fletcher a T 2? Lowtier? Midtier? for what I know there is only 1 tier above the T9 of a Fletcher (and you can watch the replay if you want - he kills one T 8 and the rest are 9/10s) ....

 

and yeah I know, there are those crazy games with capping AND a killing spree that net even above 3k base XP ( I probably even had them too); but for that see the first paragraph. -> You cant expect people to get them reliably _at all_ within a certain week or month ...

 

 

 

And don't worry, nobody will get any diamonds taken away, especially if they got spent already. This would not be cool on our side. :aqua: 

 

Well I would understand it and even expect it ...... esp. when I think of the Kami event where people who unknowingly as well as some knowingly got away with huge and even hugher loads of free xp.

 

I concure with the Quote from Vuk on that:

I can't argue with that.  I didn't realise it was so much the difference between possible and impossible.  It is hard for me to see as I have auto completed week 1 and 2 (running premium) so I don't actually know what the max EXP I have earned in the week is.  Does look rather p2earn (diamonds).

I have premium time. I've also completed the 2500/2750 xp.

I would consider myself average to slightly above (1k games played, grinding all trees, average ships in dock tier 6/7, 58% wr). However I haven't had 2500 Base xp. So for me the only reason I have them completed is because of the premium.

 

The 500 mission I could complete by getting all 4 tier 1's and pressing battle before quitting back to port. Repeat 9 times and that's 40 battles done in a day.

Now I'm not going to do it, but I'm sure there's plenty who already are.

The mission counts Base xp multipled by premium so that fletcher battle is a lot more than enough. With premium you need 1834 base XP to get 2750 mission cleared.

Thx, and I mean it.

Everybody can overlook stuff or be wrong (I certainly am more often than enough ^^) and I can see getting used to those big numbers with premium or the times 3 from the weekend.

 

I also have it completed - so I am not (yet? if it goes higher again ...) affected, but still it shows the need to constantly give WG a not so friendly reminder of what they are actually doing ....

To add something to the statistics of the Base XP Mission. I had a game with 2806 Base-XP (4209 with premium) about two or three days in the event (Kamikaze gone wild). But that was a once in 500 battles match. Luckily for me it came at the right time.

You gotta feel sorry for wargaming. They just cant seem to ever get it right in peoples minds.

 

As its become apparent with today reset. The missions a re a blend of skill and grind!! I think this is rather perfect. If i remember correctly my Highest XP+Prem has been about 3000 so i should be ok for next week as well so lucky me.

 

The missions  are not supposed to be rely easy and they don't everyone to get 1000 Stones.

 

But this way people that can it for a week or 2 will be awarded with enough stones to at least get some of the packages as well as contribute to the goal.

 

I also like the fact that if someone achieved a once in a life time 3500 bace XP last week it means they will probably complete the XP goal and the 100 diamonds that they deserve. and not have to struggle to achieve it again.

 

 

Totally agree with you, I like this challange quite a lot. As opposed to the Kamikaze one there is something for everyone here and one can set a goal for onself. I strive towards 800 diamnds, since I want one of them skins.

The whole point was the p2w nature of that mission for users without premium/p2w. Plz read again from the very beginning ......

Let's get this clear pay2win is when you have to pay real money to get and advantage in game or players that don't pay money. In ships this could be a flag only purchasable for money that gives you an advantages.  Like 50% more chance of citidels let's say. Or a ship that is much better than ships it can meet.this XP+prem is not pay to win as it gives no benifit I  game

Theis pay to reward. They are making it easer for a prem player to get a reward.  It's not even depriving no prem players of the end goal or mile stones. Prem players get 50% more XP and credits. Maybe they should have made it prem players get 50% more diamand's for each goal atcheavable. 

 

It's not supposed to be ease for players to get all the possible diamonds and the end goal is a suprise. The stuff we buy with the diamand's is a bonus wargaming is making it easy er for prem players to get some of those bonuses

I think it's all pretty well put together. The fact I'm not going to get everything is not a problem with the event design, it's a problem with my ability

 

I think the only blunder WG have made with the design is "play (X)battles as Y" ... it would have had a much better impact on standards of play if it had been "win (0.5X) battles as Y." Easy to be wise after the fact, however.

This was put in place to reward players who would spend a lot of time playing in 1 or 2 weeks and then if there is a week they don't take part in. Some variables change (tier, type of ship), but if someone was active on other fields than just the one mentioned in the weekly mission - then they get some additional points the following week. Generally, it feels to be a more comfortable solution, doesn't it?

 

This is great. It definitely helps a lot people that can't play for the whole duration of the event, and it also lessens the pressure a bit on players that are actually trying to get the maximum amount of diamonds. :)

Regarding the missions for week 2 - don't worry, it is actually working as intended. However we'll take all the feedback into consideration for the next edition of the event in the future (if we will hold another one that is, can't confirm or deny anything). We'll also include such things in the future main announcements (if events requiring such announcements will take place). 

 

The 100.000 XP mission is RESET your progress , that's why it's a separate category (reset occurs every Monday). This means it's a really hard mission, which requires a ottal of 400.000 XP earned in 4 batches across 4 weeks. You cannot earn, let's say 200.000 in week 1 and score two completions of the mission.

 

The "week 1", "week 2" and so on missions feed off of one database of player progress. This was put in place to reward players who would spend a lot of time playing in 1 or 2 weeks and then if there is a week they don't take part in. Some variables change (tier, type of ship), but if someone was active on other fields than just the one mentioned in the weekly mission - then they get some additional points the following week. Generally, it feels to be a more comfortable solution, doesn't it?

 

We hope that this mechanic will be appreciated, especially by more casual players, and we'll be gathering your feedback on it. We'll compare tihs to previous project's mechanic of only missions that reset and we'll see what we'll do in the future based on that :)

 

And don't worry, nobody will get any diamonds taken away, especially if they got spent already. This would not be cool on our side. :aqua: 

 

Could you please, please allow us to open the port slot treasure multiple times? :unsure:

Just watch out for the potential downside to this which is the (already mentioned somewhere) need to predict what's coming up next in case there are difficult missions coming up. For example if there's a last week mission in the style of "get 5 krakens in a submarine" it might be easy for those who regularly play submarines and did so during the early days of the event, but for someone who buys his first sub to get the diamonds it can be a rough task for one week. I almost wonder why the missions need to be hidden anyway, couldn't we just see them from the start if the games count anyway?

Not enough for this weeks mission without premium as it is 2750 XP. :coin: 

 

I am now waiting for those 2750+ screens (1 per day will do) since they are done very easily, as that Fletcher game demonstrates ;)

 

€: You know what, no p2w premium ships just for fun, too. :trollface:

 

 

 

 

I can even provide some screens from my own destroyer game that (barely missed) I can tell from that without help, that you need to do either a crapton of damage and cap 2 times (full), OR 3 full caps and some damage - obviously things get a bit easier in the higher tiers (in terms of xp earned).

The battle where I got that score was just a random one where I didn't try to get a high score (more than normally).

If you just focus on capping and try to stay safe you can get a lot more. If you manage to get North it's just instant profit.

 

I'm not saying it's something you can get reliably, first you need to get a Domination battle then you need to have two pretty passive teams and lastly you need to win (which you should if you cap that much).

I had a relatively poor battleship game and with premium I got 3k base xp.  I'm fine with it being easier to do mission with premium as it costs peanuts to get prem for a month I'm personally more opposed to them selling premium ships that are just copy paste better versions of free ships.
