There seems to be a mishap! 

 

On the event page where the weekly missions are listed appear four missions worth 20 diamonds each. On the special news page announcing the first week of missions there is a fifth weekly mission (get 100.000 XP), also worth 20 diamonds. What's the correct one?

 

Also: Are the port slots for 100 diamonds purchaseable only once per account?

where douse it say 1 port slot per account? when i look it say 100 diamonds. Also there is nothing saying week 2 3 4 or 5 missions will be same as week 1. Just because it was on kamakazee means nothing

As for the missions, maybe I was unclear. Currently on the missions webpage, there are four weekly missions visible (win 10 battles, play 10 battles as CV, destroy 10 ships as T5, get 2500 base XP with a cruiser in one battle). As Thavron above me mentioned the mission where you have to earn 10k XP (or 100k XP as in the german translation) is missing.

How did you do on the kamakazee missions? you hide you profile so we cant look at how good a player you are. but you should at least manage some  portslots out of it! and remember you can get some of the milestones for just taking part. 

 

I did not do the Kamikaze missions, it was during my break from the game. And I hide my account because I am such a bad player I got sick of being called out about it on the forums.

Otherwise, getting port slots and flag for pearls is no bad deal.

Also I can understand the lottery, they probably only have so many of the models and so on to give away.

Weather it was best to give away in the event is another matter entirely.

I see no issue with the Lotterys!! Of cause they are not going to give an infanet number of real world itams out! the cost could be huge.

Well just join anyway! 100 stones and you get a free port slot and some flags. Pretty sure you can get 100 stones in 1 month

To help you out HMS_Dauntless, what I'm aiming to achieve (since I don't play a huge amount each week);

 

3 of the weekly missions a week. This week I can do 10 battles in a cv (press battle 10 times), kill 10 things at tier 5, and win 10 battles.

Assuming I don't go for true efficiency and use a tier 5 carrier (and thus possibly do all 3 in 10 battles), this is probably 25 - 30 battles as a worst case scenario (33% wr and 0.5 kills per battle at tier 5)

 

I'll also aim for 10, 50 and 100 played from the permanent but that's it. If I get the 100 kills from one class then bonus, but I'm not aiming for it

What I really don't like is the "play x battles" missions. Encourages starting a battle and then immediately leaving or use of bots.

I can safely say I will not be getting anything out of this event, and that is fine. Crap players who can't play for hours don't really deserve to get anything during these things.

 

Oh come on, most of the missions are dead easy and do not really require endless hours  Chin up, man, and head for that Katori! 

 

Getting all them diamonds is tough, but getting to at least some cool stuff? Easy

100 kills is actually quite hard to do depending what you play. I haven't gotten the arp one done in 2 months .

I'm not setting myself any goals because I don't want the sense of failure when I don't reach them. I'm just gong to play as if there is no event and see what I end up with.

Edit: Good example, so far today I have played 5 battles, and only killed 2 ships. That is how awful I am at this game.

Well if I remember it correctly, the weekly for Kamikaze was only 1600 base XP. It's doable for most to manage 2500 base XP once a month, once a week is a bit more complicated(especially in a cruiser)

i know that there was one weekly 1300xp, and maybe one 1600 or 1700xp in permanent. and that was with any ship, not just limited to cruisers.

 

getting 2.5k base xp (so no premium, no flags and no daily bonuses) is rather hard for 80% of the players, and when you limit it to one week and only cruisers only 10% of ppl have a chance of finishing this mission. i can get 2.5k base xp, but not in a cruiser within a week.

 

if it isnt base xp, then the mission progress is broken cause i got 4.3k xp in cruiser today and it didnt log.

I was hoping for money and flags from this event (As in the "Kamikaze R" challenge) and it looks as if I'll be able to get some, plus a port slot as a welcome bonus!

So, Wargaming, thumbs up!

    

I was worried about the missions because I don't play lots of games per month and I suck in anything but cruisers (though I suck in them also, but not so much). Thankfully, several missions look achievable.

    

I believe that a personal target of 380 diamonds is possible, but if the weekly missions change and insist on using BBs or DDs then I could be struggling.  However, a minimum of 220 diamonds should be probable - more than enough for some decent freebies.  

I have a moral dilemma about carriers.  Please advise.

I have two carriers in port since last October (Hosho and Langley) and I've never played either of them. I have no desire to play them, TBH, but the potential of an extra 100 diamonds is tempting - even if I just load up with fighters and try and protect my team (I think that the Bogue is supposed to be good at this?).

 

However in my heart of hearts I feel that I would be letting my team down for personal gain.   What to do?

I think both the cruiser weekly missions are bugged. Both 2500 XP and cruiser battles are not showing any progress for me, but the overall missions noticed my games and frags in cruiser.

 

EDIT: Is that cruiser battles or CV? It shows CV but description is about cruisers...
