Hi everyone,

what at are your thoughts on the Karma system? Personally I believe it's a good idea however in the last few days I had a karma rating of 22, which was then reduced to 20 this was due to my internet disconnecting which is fair enough, these things happen. however late Saturday evening I was in my Colorado (nice ship once you get used to her) feel free to discuss that too! However this is where it gets rather annoying...... Using a decent lead on my target which happened to be another Coloardo I managed to obtain 2 citadel shots which reduced my targets HP to half! To say I was amazed, the target  was sunk soon after, I proceeded to then use my spotter to engage a cruiser which was closer to me and sank her just as quick. After I then started getting the two captains of the ships I sank complaining that I had cheated and using aim bots!!!! I explained that I never used aim bots and that I cheated! They still ended up reporting me probably using up all their allocation, so what do I do? Let it go and hope I get better karma as I personally think I'm a average player, or shall I report it to WG since I took a few screen shots of the partial conversation with the the other two usernames whom I know reported me?

its a pity you can't view replays shall I can provide evidence of my gameplay! If anyone knows how to record games I would be very grateful.

Any my ways am loving the game

your thoughts please WG and of course other captains

kind regards

Karma is the most meaningless stat I've ever seen. It's nice to be going up in Karma instead of going down, but when it's butthurt people that just report you because they can't handle someone outplaying them, I just ignore them. If people are accusing you of hacking, then you're doing something right (Unless you are in-fact hacking, which is a big no-no).

Karma isn't an important stat. I wouldn't worry to much.

I usually just report such players for chat misbehavior and put them on ignore.

As far as I can tell there are only a small handful of people who actually care about the karma system. I don't even know If I have a karma rating, I never bothered to check. :D

The fundamental problem with karma points is that people are more likely to report you for whatever reason that compliment you.

Anyone with high karma in game is probably simply well known to the forums, and is given compliments just for the sake of it.

Any randombob like me is going to have between 0 and 5.

My max was 4, then a division decided that me telling them to move up in their NMs was report-worthy(simply that, "Stop sniping and move up in your BBs"), and plummeted back to 1.
I stopped caring every since.

I don't care for it, but I always check my rating after each game.

I know I did good when I lost some karma :medal:

I'm a randombob and i have over 30.

on the other hand, getting 6 kills in a game gets you -2 somehow, so that doesn't really matter :teethhappy:

Simple solution: Change the system to positive Karma only like it has been done on the forums.

I think on Ru forums whoever has the most karma and made the most useful posts on the forums gets a title "leader of the forums" but i seen them treated with disdain and called karma whores .

The introduction of the Karma system is a step in the right direction and should have a positive impact overall.

At the current point in time it is rather meaningless since it's easy to earn negative Karma even though you didn't deserve it and no rewards are offered for earning positive Karma, but I'm sure some players do care about the Karma system nevertheless.

Those players are hopefully less toxic and more helpful because of its existence.

Thankfully Karma cannot dip below 0, otherwise some players would probably try to farm negative Karma.

Game can save "replay" of the match.

http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/19222-enabling-replays-in-world-of-warships/

You just need to Alt-Tab to Windows and delete replay file after the match, if there was nothing remarkable in it. Otherwise you'll soon gets big pile of replays without knowing what's in them.

(add some description to file name of the replay you want to keep)

Would be really best if you could enable some replay setting and game would ask after the match if you want to keep replay.

Anyway WG keeps chat logs for some time so you could make support ticket with screenshots included.

Technically those players where definitely abusing game system and hence WG should be even able to find some clause for punishing them.

And maybe it would help them to finally get their thumbs out of their butt and remove player's ability to report player who sinked him.

That simply should have never been there.

Which is pointless since the system is completely automated all they might do is check if the system has triggered if it hasnt they ll just tell you theyll take appropriate action and close your ticket.

Id literally be willing to pay subscription for the game if i could get real support with transparency and accountability for results of your tickets, but its not going to happen.

I agree with all said here. The Karma system needs a revision, that's for sure.

Ciao

Today I played a battle that we lost, got 2 Karma points and gave 3 since we really teamed up well until the end. Then later got in a very good battle that we won, hit 3 ships... Got called bot and all names by two enemy players, later noticed I had lost 2 Karma points.

That's how it works

That's only how it works if you actually bother to check your Karma.

If you never check your Karma, you got Schrödinger's Karma.

Maybe it is just at 0, maybe SerB cursed your account personally and it is -1000 or maybe you are the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama and you got 10000 positive Karma without doing anything special.

As long as you don't check, it could be anything. Schrödinger's Karma is best Karma.

Before anyone says that negative Karma is not possible: I'm sure SerB can make that happen if he got a personal vendetta against you.

Mine has gone down from 2 to 1. Even when you play well and get Kraken Unleashed and save the teams arse, I swear people just report you for kill stealing or plainly just don't know about the compliment button or don't care. Every time I play well, it goes down. I think you have to have a lot of friends that happen to play in the same battles as you to receive any compliments.

Sadly high Karma means nothing.

2739fqy7.jpg

....and it's easy to lose Karma points when playing higher tiers, all these frustrated idiots reporting you for playing too well or for not playing their personal bodyguard or for whatever reason, sux big time.

Maybe it is just at 0, maybe SerB cursed your account personally and it is -1000

Karma doesn't drop below 0.

Mine's a big fat zero because even when i try to tell people not to snipe in their tirpitzes in a polite way they still report me because "i pley 4 phun nab" or "dont say me how 2 pley"..... Of course, there's my favourite: " im useing my range noob you dont undesrtand BB gameplay" uttered by a guy in kongo with 100games in total
