Great update with all the rain and slow sinking ships but still missing some nice big white sharks in the water arround sinking ships.

That would be really cool......

Not really because you wouldnt be able to see them, even if you were next to a sinking ship. Unless you want Megalodons... Might as well add a few Pterodactyls nibling the sailors then

WW2 lifejackets had chemical shark repellant packets as part of the deal, just like there were whistles. Whether they worked though, or if there was that much of a threat of sharks to necessitate they do is another matter...

If they implement a view hundred of sharks, believe me you will see them

Why would there be sharks when a ship is sinking ?

Like in all other WG games, ships have no crew and are magically manned by a mysterious force called the player ...

Well at Guadalcanal, for example, after the events of the night battles the sharks did ofc go after the wounded shipwrecked sailors.

I remember pictures (and ofc tales from books) of the rescuers looking like a watch out post waiting for a invasion rather than life rescuing: sailors with rifles were on watch out while others pulled the shipwrecked on board ...

.... but if anything: those sharks would assemble probably rather long after the battle: detonations from shells hitting the water, whole ship magazines, and ofc the ships partially flooded getting crushed by the immense force of depth has a way of putting of everything for a while ....

Well, we do have a cyclone weather effect in the game now, so why not include a SHARKNADO?

You could always just have a glimpse of a shark occasionally under the water, with them more noticeable on the "warmer" maps where the sea is clearer

I think we don't have sharks because we don't have sailors on board - the classification rating. People don't die or get eaten in wows .

The crew of USS Indianapolis allegedly suffered from shark attacks. :(

From wikipedia...

Her sinking led to the greatest single loss of life at sea in the history of the U.S. Navy. On 30 July 1945, after delivering parts for the first atomic bomb to the United States air base at Tinian, the ship was torpedoed by the Imperial Japanese Navy submarine I-58, sinking in 12 minutes. Of 1,196 crewmen aboard, approximately 300 went down with the ship.

The remaining 900 faced exposure, dehydration, saltwater poisoning, and shark attacks while floating with few lifeboats and almost no food or water. The Navy learned of the sinking when survivors were spotted four days later by the crew of a PV-1 Ventura on routine patrol. Only 316[4] or 317[5] survived.

"after delivering the first atomic bomb..."    Poignant.

They could be metal-eating sharks that reduce the HP of your ship by slowing taking chunks out of its hull.

Why not let them appear while players are humping the border to discourage them from doing it?

I'd rather have the kraken come up and drag ships to their doom.

That way, everytime I send a salvo of torpedoes on an unsuspecting BB, I can yell out:
Release the kraken!

Then what happens in WoT? A pack of hounds come by and eates the crew?

This is the only shark I want to see, and I want to see it  long before my ship is sinking.

(...)

But only when you start battle from 'Pirates' port and after your fifth kill...

Nice idea, but I'm afraid it would get boring very fast unless there was 'save the survivors' mission implemented alongside...

Also although sharks are common feature of the seas, near the tips of the planet Earth it is hypotermia that kills, not maritime biology...

Thats an interresting idea what you said. When a ships sinks it could leave survivors behind which can be save by both teams. That would generate XP and money, something like a small temporary cap zone that generates no victory points. But for the rescue operation your ship needs to do a complete stop.....
