I am old, have a family and a full time job as a manager so i have limited time to play games and games are pretty much my Zen/Chill/Meditation time. So i dont have time to grind the long (boring) way instead i taken a few shortcuts (bought Prem Time, Prem Ships, Dabloons etc.) to ease the grind and get myself into happy times ingame. And their has been some buys. You can call me "pay to win" or "retard" or whatever, i dont care. And i dont know if their is a way to get this information so this is a rough estimat. I have bought: 1 Murmansk just after CBT Think maybe 20-25 Euros 1 Atlanta Think maybe 30 Euros Sold it after getting sick of it. 1 Blyskawika Think maybe 30 Euros 1 Atago Think maybe 30 Euros Sold it after i thought it sucked, this was ages ago, long before heal. 1 Atago Think maybe 30 Euros Bought it again after thinking i may be good!? I know .... 1 Tirpitz Think maybe 50 Euros 1 Kutuzov Think maybe 35 Euros Been playing Premium time pretty much since CBT Think maybe , lets say 50 Euros (probably more) Bought a crapton of dabloons (pretty much Free XP´d Yorck, Hipper, 70% of Roon and half of Ibuki) so lets say 200 Euros Gotten the Kamikaze R, Emden, and all the ARP Ships thru the different events. So i land in the ballpark of 480 Euros, and the thing is i think it has been worth every penny. Because i can honestly say that no other game has giving me so much joy and i have never played a game for so long as i have played this. Ive played this since i bought myself into the CBT some 2 years ago. That said, it would be nice to get some special love from WG for the big support (If you know what i mean .... nodge .. nodge ... [TFUK] Dee_82 Players 166 posts 5,485 battles Report post #8 Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) Warspite, Atlanta, Atago plus a bunch of premium stuff, probably a couple of hundred as a minimum, I try not to think about it (as its probably a lot more, which I really don't want to acknowledge! ) ;) Right now I'm boycotting anything other than topping up premium time and RN ships, I think the way they crap over the RN is a disgrace and with my XP on ships climbing to a million and no way to use it other than pay a colossal amount of money to turn it in to free xp (which I wont do) I feel like there is very little value for money any more. They need to sort their $hit out as I'm getting fed up. The game itself is great and I agree with the OP that there hasn't been a game that I enjoy quite so much for a long time, but I am wavering at the moment, I don't feel my support will continue without some TLC from WG. I've had Premium time since opening of CBT. Sooo Don't really know how much I've spent on this game but I really enjoy playing it so its not a big deal to me. Warspite- £12- got it when they pulled it from the dash board to hide the Royal Navy from view (while it was cheap i'll add) Blyscawica- £27 i think...Saipan- £27 around 5000 gold (rough guess) so £15? And XP gained on elite ships is just there for show. Doesn't do anything other than track how much you play the ship right? So WG aren't actually forcing you to spend money to create free XP. They hope you succumb to temptation Also why do people complain about WG "not adding ships they intend to get". I bought my premium *not expecting* WG to add anything at all. (Well I did but I based by decision on an I happy to pay for premium for what I have *now*). So I can't complain about the £100s I've spent. Tirpitz Warspite Murmansk Imperator Atlanta Yubari Aurora (I used it a lot once!) 1 year premium 2x doubloon top ups (not huge ones) That is a lot. Oh well it's given me a lot more fun than the equivalent money spent on a games workshop army. In terms of value per hour it's pretty good. But that was actually from WoT prem.shop when it was available for .. 60(?) euros. According to the confirmation e-mails I just went through; 230,- but that does not include the one year premium account.. So let's say 290 euros. I kept my premiums in WoT to a fairly small number but have somehow failed to do that in this game. Gremyayaschy Atago Warspite Tirpitz Saipan And I will be getting the Campbeltown just because. Out of all of those I only kind of regret buying the Atago. I know it is OP for its tier... but I am not OP in cruisers generally so it could be described as a bit of a mistake and I'd usually rather be in my Tirp. Warspite... I like her but she doesn't get played enough - when I need credits the Tirp/Gremy are my go to ships because they are both not only good, but good fun! Saipan... haven't played it much yet as I needed to finish SoS and it didn't help with main battery hits but I will rectify that. What with premium ships, premium account and gold, there is no way I could work it all out. Except.... I have bought such games in the past. Played them a bit. Got bored. Stopped playing. For me its all about money / time spent playing. Based on that metric wows is cheap! Only cities skylines does better but that doesn't have online competetive play I compare wows to my GW games and tv subscriptions, not the other games I buy (which is like none). But still less than a warhammer 40k army Depends how large and competative you want your army to be ;) Regarding the topic, I have been playing with a premium account for some time now using the basic needs package (includes 1k dubloons which I use for swapping and transferring upgrades), perhaps 6 months or so?
