What is your cursed ship?

For me it's the Kirov. My stats aren't awesome in it, but I do believe I deserve better than 29% winrate with 21 games played. It's less than half of my overall winrate...

 

I'm hardly a superstitious person, but I'm starting to believe that some ships are just cursed. Not bad ships, just cursed.

7 losses in a row, but a WTR of over 1500.

Wyoming......hands down! I never seem to have a good battle in it. And yet I quite enjoyed it in CBT....things change I guess.

Tirpitz, doing ok on average dmg per battle and kill/death ratio, but win rate is very low.

I was really unlucky with teams (although I did over average damage... although damage doesn't mean wins of course) in the beginning of my warship career:
Chikuma: 8 battles - 0% wins (2k dmg over average)
Tenryu: 10 battles - 30% wins (20k dmg over average)

Wakatake: 16 battles - 31% wins (2k dmg over average... not doing too well in that one)

And currently I am having only 33% win rate with my Aoba, whilst my average damage in it is 10k over average...

Strange how all of them are Japanese....

Hmm, for me it has to be the Myoko. I just can't seem to make that turret traverse work. It is a good ship, but the enemy allways seem to be where I don't aim 

 

Could probably think of other ships, the Wakataka especially was bad luck for me, but haven't touched it since last summer, so I don't think that really counts any longer.

worst, compared to my general stats? Yamato. I just can't. No idea why. Oh, and Iowa dispersion just hates me.

The Aoba.  It was where I learnt the transition from the rapid fire HE spamming world of cruisers to the slow(er) firing world of 203 based cruisers.  And for me it was a long and painful lesson to learn.  Although I did improve my CA play, my average damage in it was akin to tier 4 cruisers (29k) and my win rate suffered at a corresponding rate (43% in the end).  Now those stats are improved from where they were about half way through the grind which tells you how bad I had been doing.

 

However, I seem to be consistently be doing better in my Myoko/Mogami so that is something

Fuso, Cleveland. Did awful WR in both. Cleveland I just didn't get on with.

 

North Carolina and New Orleans both struggles and now Iowa. I just can't get good games in them.

 

Not sure if cursed or just don't like them. But Fuso *is* cursed. Stats are good but I can't win in her!

Tashkent QQ . I do quite good with other Ru dds but Tashkent was my nightmare , 43% WR , 30k avg dmg , unaceptable.

Kolberg, Emden. 2 battles.0% win rate.

ARP Haruna, Bogue, South Carolina, Kongo, 1 battle, 0% win rate.

 

Those don't mean much though. My worst results are in the following ships:

 

Mikhail Kutuzov, 54 games, 38.89% win rate (shocking)

Iowa, 32 games, 34.38% win rate (shocking!)

 

Surprisingly, my best ship is the Błyskawica with 61.39% wins from 44 battles. Only really been playing her the last week, despite owning her since she was launched. My best in my favored Battleship class being Warspite and Imperator both on 55.88% and 55.47% respectively, from 136 battles each.

I have 52% winrate with the Kirov. My damage is alright, at 53k, but I hated the ship. Budyonny is much better.

Either way, despite me getting along alright with most ships, and hating none. (Yes even Pre-buff Furutaka and Yubari Post-nerf) there are a few ships that were troublesome, notably more so than others.

Yamato, whatever I do in with this ship, it always ends in disaster. Usually I just bang my head against the wall till I get the grasp of a ship. But with Yamato this would be to expensive. So it just sits there.

It depresses me that you are not happy with your Yamato stats as our stats are quite similar.  Well, our ave damage is almost identical but your WR and hit % are much higher and my ave kills is higher than yours.  I have been playing mine quite extensively this week to finish the SoS missions and I have grown more comfortable in her but it is still hard work trying to be as aggressive as possible whilst not ding.  It is a ship that can be a great support to the team but at the same time it needs supporting too.  Even when you ask for support and people say they will you often find out that they come until an enemy gets spotted and then bug out - she might be a good tank but vs 4-5 ships on her own and she goes down pretty quick:s

 

I had a game this morning in mine where I had 2 divisioned shimakazes harassed me for the entire game and I had no support.  4 torp walls from each shima and I only ate 1 torp and they had lost half health each due to getting spotted by me and eating secondary fire.

 

Another issue is the lack of tier 10 divisioning - or even 10/8 to help with the finances.  I don't want to spend all of my time in tier X but it would be nice to play there occasionally knowing at least 1 or 2 players have your back properly.

Mine is the Emden: even if I sink 4 ships, get rewarded with Confederate/High Calibre and in the end receive almost 1000 Base-XP my team loses the match . My usual winrate with ships I regularly play is around 60%. My winrate in the Emden is 36% (it even was less than 20% at some point).

Sorry! Not the intention! But yeah well I dunno...I mean my WTR is complete garbage in her, lowest by quite a margin among all the ships I've played with any kind of serious intent, followed in that regard by Iowa incidentally... it's probably more to do with expectations vs. reality for me... I mean it's the friggin' Yamato, so how the heck can I have the same average damage in my Derpitz, and better in Zao? And especially when I see Flamu&co... with the crazy salvoes they put out... meanwhile my Yamato usually seems to shoot Marshmellows instead of shells, I've managed to bounce a full salvo off a hardly angled Atago at 6km, or failed to do anything to a beached broadside Tirpitz at 8km repeatedly... and all the while you hear about how those guns go through anything, how incredibly accurate they are etc, and you get nailed by them reliably, by some very mediocre players no less... Yamato never fails to make me very annoyed whenever I play her, because of the sheer awesome I expected when I got her (was my first T10 too...). OK rant over, although ranting is kinda the point of this topic isnt it?^^

 

you can very often find high tier divisions in the Forumites channel (shameless plug! ) - I've done a whole evening of Triple Yamato division with WolfGewehr and Geralt once, which was pretty fun
