considering that after latest invasion of bots there is no solution from wg, i have wondered if manually reporting bots through ticket works?

have reported one bot with 4k battles in little over a month so lets see supports response...

No, support doesnt do ANYTHING with reports. Reports are handled entirely by the system.

if you thought you played with a bot report it and take screenshots off the battle reports then go to wargaming support website and submit a ticket about said bot with the screens attached to the ticket

cause system actually helps... no..

these are stats from bots in last 2 weeks

 Capture.jpg

and these are just from yesterday. there are 23 here and few are missing from this list.

 Capture2.jpg

it is obviously becoming a problem, and it needs to be nipped in the bud before it becomes even bigger.

i submitted a ticket, but idk how screenshots of the battle will help with proving that he is a bot. those screenshots in my post above can prove bots much better then screenshots from battle

second ss with over 100 battles are all from yesterday (there were 2 more with over 95 battles). so that means 25 bots that played 100 or more battles in 24 hours. next closest is 60 battles, but that can actually be normal hyper active player (or bot from someone else), so i didnt check those.

They wont do anything you know when you had "wall of fame" in wot show bots with hundreds of thousands of battles with hundreds of games per day instead of banning them they made the stats hide them .

Pretty much confirms my suspicion, that the commend-report system does pretty much nothin more, than give people a valve to let off steam, instead of making them feel helpless. Been in a game recently, where I told a guy (no bot.. so this sorta off-topic) to stop insulting EVERYONE or I'd report him. As things escalated, he went on asking everyone in public chat to pls report him, since "nothing at all will happen". Many people granted hims his wish.

Guess who I met 2 days later... telling almost the same thing again. So I am inclined to believe him.

Back to topic:

If not even manually reporting people does anything, why should we expect automatic banning to work? I sure don't, but it makes me kinda sad. If WoWs had 10 times the player nmbers, I would not care. But at this point, I'm getting matched up with Bots (not even those afk-guys) on a rather regular basis. And that just sucks.

Before any action is taken, they have to admit that bots truly exist in this game.

Good luck with that.

So ... These 25 bots are a huge problem? Some 0,17-0,25% of players (10.000-14.000 players online usually when I play).

Annoying to some level yes, but a huge problem? :D

well there are probably a lot more bots, just these 25 are most active and most obvious. btw the one i reported isnt in the 25 most active from 2 days ago, but he still has over 4k games in little over a month.

cause i dont have access to their database i could only use some public stats page for showing most obvious bots in last 2 weeks and yesterday. with access to their database i could probably get you at least 100 or 200 bot accounts.

and yes this is a huge problem cause if wg doesnt start to ban bot accounts at start you will soon play coop in random mode cause more ppl will get fed up with bots and just leave game or just play TB, while bot accounts will multiply.

Wasn't there a dev (or another person from WG) a few days ago who said, that they are currently not able to decide if a player is actually a bot or a real human that just plays very very poorly?! Unfortunately I don't have the source at hand, but it could be the "Infos from RU" thread or a repost from that on reddit.

I belive aimbots are worts then bots.

Bots often play bad and do stupid things that you can forseen but a human with 100% accurcy... well that's not fair.

that would be true if bot/player had believable amount of games played. but with over 100 games played per day it is safe to assume they are bots.

there are techniques that could be used to battle bots from their side, just that they need to show some will to do it.

bots ruin game for both sides. you basically start with one less ships if you get bot in team.

and aimbots arent a problem. idk how many ppl use them (i dont believe a lot), but they can only kill noobs that dont know how to change course, but same can be said for any other experienced player...

no, they don't. i reported 20 of these bots on NA and not one has been banned so far.and it's been 2 weeks now.

let me guess, the ones on EU are also nicknamed after naruto characters, they play konigsberg to farm credits and they're grinding american battleships?

While I agree with you that most bots have a high number of battles played per day (so the assumption may be correct), you can't ban a player alone with battles played. The aforementiond poorly skilled player may have given WG quite some money (premium time & ships, dubloons) and is just hyper active. Can you imagine the outcry on the forums (and elsewhere) if WG, in an attempt to ban bots, also bans human players with poor stats and a high battle number? Such a precedent case would possibly harm the economical situation of WG.

So having to decide if one company tries to ban bots and risks to ban real players while doing so OR leaving bots alive but don't risk to "anger" real players with poor stats, most companies go for the latter.

Imo the only way to check if a player is real or a bot is to observe its gameplay over a larger number of battles. That can be done by some sort of human referee, but the workload will be quite high.

Obviously WG sees bigger problems atm than bots.

with access to their database finding bots is actually quite easy. at least the most obvious ones, smarter bots are much harder to prove (cause like you said they can actually be very bad players).

i could write few techniques on identifying bots, but then again bot maker probably also reads forums and could counter few of those techniques making bots much harder to identify.

considering this isnt wg-s first online game, they should also know most if not all of those techniques. they only need to show some will to ban those players.

Quite true. It's allways that cat & mouse play.

But not only the will counts, but also the priority. If they want to do sth, but decide that fixing a broken MM is more important, than we have to accept that. At least for a while.

We'll see what happens over the course of the following months.

Greetings

bot is still alive. yesterday played 138 battles, today till now 101 battles. lets see if support will investigate and ban him...

also saw that i played with other bot that had iowa yesterday... just sailed in straight line, showed broadside and has shot few times before being sunk by my bad aim... i was so angry at noob in iowa (didnt even see till later that it was bot) cause he didnt even put a little fight. if i want to shoot at helpless targets i will got to training room... bots just take the fun out of game...

Dont expect to get any feedback, appropriate action here is mostly likely logging your support request and closing it down. Job well done. Like they said its entirely handled by the system no human input.

If you are aware of players using bots/cheating then please report them to customer support here >click here<do not go making threads about it. Thread will be closed

interestingly enough i opened ticket, got auto response, reopened it again got response that the WOT has fantastic bot detection system and that they will manually track that bot in WOT.

So yeah writing ticket to support is helpful and they will ban WOWS bots in WOT. :amazed:

till today the bot i reported is still alive and doing over 100 battles daily...

BigBadVuk ''there are no bots in World Of Tanks, Please Do not discuss them further, any such discussion regarding bots will result in a ban''

this was what we got in World Of Tanks, after someone posted a funny video from the RU server showing a battle with only 2 active players

i dont expect much better over here tbh...
