There are a couple of official Aoki Hagane ships, officially implemented by WG in cooperation or under licence with/of the anime/manga publisher. The current ships are Kongou, Haruna, Hiei, Kirishima (not yet available on EU server but model and captain do exist), Myoko, and another Myoko-class whose name I forgot (but also not yet available although existing). All ships are like their normal ingame counterparts with fully upgraded modules, and they have specific captains, so you cannot use any IJN captain on them, only mental models from the anime. There were a couple of missions to obtain them. In fact, some of them are still running until end of this month. If you missed some, there will be another chance to get them at some point in future. OVanBruce Alpha Tester 2,543 posts 16,031 battles Report post #11 Posted April 19, 2016 Why everyone thinks that adding copy/paste from premium ship WITHOUT premium benefits will cause butthurt? Because all the pay2win characteristics of the ship, compared to its silver counterparts, would be available for free to anyone that completes the mission. It will not also piss off the people who paid to have the unfair advantage but it's also a bad decision for WG's profits. If anything, if we ever get Arpeggio Takao, we'll get a watered down version of the premium ship without heal and some worse soft stats.

Myoko, tier lower ship was kinda pain in the arse, for tier higher vessel I expect missions to be at least demanding tier 8+ which already limits amount of handed out ships. WG also benefits from these missions - from port sales to premium account and free exp conversion to get "better suited" ships for the job. And statistically Atago isn't OP, its just well balanced Another idea would be two Takaos - from the Fog, that can be obtained with missions and "Blue Steel", premium version, buyable after completing mission for lets say, 8k gold or so. That or "premium" paintjob for Takao, that increases credit and exp incomes around Atago levels buyable with gold just like premium paint for Iowa/Tashkient, Fletcher and few other ships I think. OVanBruce Alpha Tester 2,543 posts 16,031 battles Report post #13 Posted April 19, 2016 I wouldn't call the Arpeggio missions specially difficult, they simply require you to play the game much more time the average Joe usually does.

[BLOBS] StuntMan0369 Beta Tester 923 posts 4,848 battles Report post #15 Posted April 19, 2016 Right now from the Anime Season 1 (without the movies) we are missing Kirishima, Takao, Maya and somewhat Nagara although the latter has no mental model and no actual role besides dying Kirishima is almost certainly going to be in the next mission set (which if current events is anything to go by, the beginning of May). Takao and Maya are still kinda up in the air because of Atago's position in the game, if Atago was a regular tech-tree ship I'm sure they'd leap on the chance to get Takao and Maya in, but as a premium ship they may be hesitant to avoid angering the historical players. Agreed with Nagara, ships without mental models are minor additions, but not to say unwelcome. We don't actually have a Nagara-class in the game, but Nagara and Kuma (Which we do have at tier 4) were so similar, only the true history fans would realistically be able to tell the difference. That's pretty much Season 1 covered as you said, DC introduces the Myoko's, of which we only have 1, but Haguro has been confirmed in the game files, so perhaps she'll be alongside Kirishima in May. I suppose we could also say Yamato and Musashi were also DC, but I'd consider them more involved in the Cadenza movie (Actually, same for the Myoko's really). There's also DD680 Melvin - the Fletcher class destroyer that was used in the testing of the Vibration Warhead Torpedo. No mental model again, but still a cool design. Seeing how they're missing a fun game mode would spark a lot of crying on the forum. There's also a matter of developing the said mode.

It doesn't matter what WG does, people will always be crying about it on the forums. But I was thinking along the lines of something like the April Fools Event. Everyone can play it and enjoy a little anime/manga fun.

Charge! Other than Takao, Ashigara is who I want the most out of all potential ARP ships. Yukikaze could be fun, too. She's sneaky little thing, and most importantly of all, not a beaver. She's only in the manga, though.

[BLOBS] StuntMan0369 Beta Tester 923 posts 4,848 battles Report post #24 Posted April 19, 2016 Since the ARP ships are no premium ships i don't consider that a problem. Take away the heal and the ship is good to go. The problem is the exclusivity of the ship. Having a ship that can only be purchased for real-money and then giving it to those of just the anime fan-base for free would upset the historical players, of which there are a fair few. If you take away the heal, the ships is instantly inferior to the regular Atago, which isn't exactly fair either. It's complicated, but I'm sure some sort of compromise will be found (or they'll just leave it at the Kongo's and Myoko's, they're the only ships that really have been confirmed as of now).
