Keep in mind that Saipan uses Essex fully upgraded fighters and bombers, so while she doesn't have many TB's, they are durable and can quickly strike and return.

ah come on cut the crap dudes, if you dont want it, or dont want spend money or dislike the class or the Cv, this thread dont need that sht in here.

 

Also i have meet few players playing with this Cv, if u a BB or a DD ur gona have trouble to kill their torpedos bombers even if u are a north carolina, only cruisers or Cv are able to counter the saipan planes, sure BBs can kill 1 or 2 but that leaves out 4 planes from 2 TB platon, regarless when saipan has a DD behind his tail, those 3 torpedos leaves a huge gab with makes DD easy to skip it if player is skilled.

 

Any ways Ichase made a review about the ship and shame he only did it on a low theirs MM regarless it can show abit of her performance:

Although even its a premium ship the planes from ranger or Hiryu can eat up the saipans with does not make saipan overpower if people are gonna cry in this past few weeks, though sadly most of the players that plays CV sucks hard.

Looking forward to be shafted due to "inexperienced Saipan users" meeting a regular CV that is not botting on the enemy team. 

 

Even though CV's isn't OP atm, they still have a massive impact on the match, if they want to do so (spotting DDs, setting fires on CAs/BBs and taking half the health of BBs with a excellent torp strike). So being able to buy yourself a T8 CV might not be the best solution.

I have gone with the 3 fighter and 1 drop bomber set up... and having great fun with it...... the Drop bomb wing has many planes in it and it hurts if it gets a good hit in the 3 fighters are kinda week (even being t9 planes) but its anouth for spotting and keeping fighters at bay.

 

but them drop bombers omg, cant wait for air supremacy that will make that set up very nice

 

Think it will cause lots of problems to MM as there be players not knowing how to play a CV well and i guess they will go with the 2 torp bomber set up and manual drops plus 1 fighter wing will punish them if a good CV player on the other side.

killed a atlanta in mine they are squishy to the drop bombers..... so my advice dont waist it on the fighters as if i see you used it on me fighters i wait tell the AA abilty runs out and tally hoe

So a CV with tier 6 plane capacity but tier 9 planes is balanced at Tier 7, can we please have Yorktown as a tier 7 but with historical airgroup (mostly tier 5 planes)?

Yea but now even more carriers so more matches will be carrier based and less games with no carriers so when I get the xp to get the ship I want I will leave those tiers.
