is this horror game or what? new citadel sound is awful.... that sound effect on north is wtf.

 

i actually want to have some sounds and not to play this with game muted...

 

idk if it is me or sounds with every new version are getting worse and worse

Please make the citadel sound optional. It's very annoying with the high-pitched tinnitus sound effect.

 

Otherwise, I found the current gun sounds better(0.5.4), due to less "boomy"/Hollywoodisch, and more realistic (even though they probably are not).

Well, if this goes live, I will stop playing the game. I like my ears too much to torture them with the new "heavy damage sound". The old one was quite bad already, but the new one really takes the cake. Since we for some reason do not get detailed patch notes, I will refrain from commenting on gun sounds since I have no idea if they have been changed (although I feel that low-calibre guns have gotten much more bass when firing).

Is there a new voice over? I couldn't tell at the time if it was for first blood or double strike and since I don't have replays enabled I can't check it.

Double-strike has a new voice-over ("we got two of 'em", I believe). The addition is okay, I guess, but the volume of the new sound is slightly higher than the rest which may lead to some annoyances.

So far, I actually like them.

The citadel hit is not too bad imho, I already had a few (effing cruisers are one big citadel), it should make a loud noise when you get hit that hard.

I haven't heard the annoying 'module damage electronic beep that makes no sense' yet, please tell me it is gone?
Other sounds sound different as well, is there a comprehensive list?
So far, I like how everything sounds.

Critical hit and citadel hits is beyond awful, really really bad. Please replace it with something more ear friendly or remove it altogether. BBs guns sound little bit flat, totally different from Iowa class shooting video recordings. Other than that, sounds are really nice.

Tinnitus sound when citadelled is bad, everything else you changed is just yes yes yes in my opinion.

I did not really noticed any change the citadel hits stills heards so awful, and we also need capture alarms just like in WOT that will help

the sound effects are okay , but include an option in the menu if some one does not want to hear them etc ---

They are no worse than before I don't think. But I don't play on headset

 

but the music. Hmmm. You changed the victory music. I love that tune!

so let me get this out there, those horrid sounds everyone hated that got removed are back just slightly tweeked. WHY!

yes i took a salvo from a yamato in my fubuki, i can see that by the fact my ship is now a submarine,

why the hell do you feel the need to blast a high pitched whistle to let me know this?

 

on the bright side,

the new engines, gun sounds, AAA, torp and ship sinking sounds are really top notch. really impressed with them, good work

eeehhh so far I been hearing the battle music kinda , when I am in port , (depending what port) one should hear some different , music , new in the day is new , will the day and nite come and go while in port ?

In general the sounds are OK, but I do understand some people find the high pitch sound awfull or almost hurtfull. Could the high pitch be removed, it would be fine for me too.

 

Have the AA sound been changed? Or is it because I drive american CAs? I use to drive the german CAs. I think the AA sound is a little "sissy". Like something from a toygun.

 

Otherwise I have nothing to complain about.

I can't test it, but it would be nice, if you fix the german Voices. Nothing is more frustating, then a message like "your team is about to win", when your team got 200 points and the enemy abot 800. =D

I have a quite specific issue: the new gun sound of the Kiev is really nice. But why do they have this kind of echo as well?! I become confused over the number of actual shots fired most of the time. The Tashkent and Udaloi don't have this issue and shoot synchronously enough to not indicate four or five (thus these ships would have got 8 or even 10 guns :trollface: ) steps for these 3x2 guns when fired in sequential mode.

turned off sounds because of the citadel sounds gave me migraine, and well seems like i still need to play without sounds and just play with visual support still.

Loved the new Port theme music and the victory music.

Please pass my best compliments to your audio team to come up with fresh soundtracks for almost every update. Again, I loved the new port theme!

generally the sounds are geting better in every new puch..the only annoying sounds i found are:

1.when the ships collide the blast of the horns are to much..shorter blast ..

2.in the new puch, it was a sound ,when for example a dd was approaching a bb it was a unnecessary sound for my opinion.. i cant explain exactly when it was..it hapens to me a couple of times in the above situation..

 in general very good job..i want to add that u could put an officers  voice warning about the stormy weather 1 minute before comes..
