Please leave any feedback about the new UI changes in this thread. Topics include:

  • Customizable reticicles
  • Port changes
  • Fire effect

Test-Servers are down. Went to a quick battle at the normal server. Already missing the dynamic scope. =D

The carrier aa customizable is too op for heigh tier carriers, Now the tier 7 carrier aircrafts can not even reach the atteck range before they are all shot down only by the carrier itself. We all know the carriers basically have a more effective aa ability even wirh out a aa customizable. Specially with the panic ability of the aa costomizable, the tier8 carriers are now totally immuned from the tier7 carrier atteck no metter hoe hard the tier7 carrier tries. The tier7 planes will be complitely shot down in about 3 seconds, even you are extreamly luckly and lunched an atteck the panic skill will make you heats nothing. I will really say avoiding an enemy carrier strick is the basic knowledge for a carrier player. Look now how most of the carriers do! THEY ARE JUST FLOATING AIRPORTS NOT A CARRIER! So they totally deserve to die. I will say a skill increasing secondary armorments accuricy will be useful for a carrier for firing back against DDs but an AA skill is absolutely too much for a carrier.

I think that's kinda the point of this consumable, to stop carrier sniping at high tiers

Dynamic scaling reticule is great.

 

Port Changes? idk i don't really use the filters.

 

The fire effect is kind of obnoxious. i'd like a toggle.

Reticles: Nice, although so far I'm sticking with the old one since I'm used to the tick/flight time/speed combinations needed to hit.

 

Port change : Love it, having more info is always good.

 

Fire effect : Meh, liked the former one better. Really dislike that the fire/flooding/incapacitation icons lost their countdown for that circle thingy. The timer makes it easier to evaluate whether damage control should be used or not.

New York port is too bright. I have trobles reading the white text.

 

BTW, Ihave an idea. The ocen "port", Could there be a supply ship on the side? It would look cool.

Don't like the fire-screen effect. But since it is optional, I have no issues with it.

Whenever you zoom in/out, the HP bar above ships get's larger/smaller, depending on ship or binocular view. This is somewhat confusing to me, so I would much rather that they remain constant, regardless of camera view.

 

EDIT: Agree with the sentiment that a numerical timer is better than a countdown circle.

i agree. i dont mind new icons so much as much as losing of the timer.

If you click at "My Teams", while having no Division, you end up in a screen, where all you can do is, press alt+f4, to exit it. The OK button just leads to itself again

This, losing the timer is a huge deal when the indicator circle is so tiny! its total guesswork now and will result in many wasted damage controls.

 

Dynamic scope is great, Fire effect is ok.. at least there is an option for it

Hi,

I missing the countdown timer, when steering gear incapacitated etc. Ther is something tini in the corner, but it is unuseful for me.

Plese give back the countdown timers.

Spotted a small UI bug - when you are dead and viewing team mates the distance shown to enemy ships on their info/health bar is the distance from where you died and not the distance from the ship you are viewing (hope it's a bug and not me never noticing this is how it works on live)

I like the fire effect on the edge if screen (but it being optional for those that dont). Like the brighter symbol for fire, but the little Red circle instead of a timer is less useful IMO. Knowing how long the fire was going to last vs when your repair would be ready was much more useful

I really like setting "fave ships".

The reticles could use some more contrasting color crosshairs, like red, but otherwise are great.

I loved the additional info on speed of shells, really helps you get the "feel" of aprticular warship iin advance.

Introducing visibility of torpedoes is nice, it would be even better if it can take into account the distance penalty by torpedo acceleration skill.

In the Settings, there is an option, called "Always start a fight with the maximum receding". I have no clue, what it does or even mean, so I cannot test it. I see no diffrence between this option on or off... Does anybody know more about?

Feedback: Mouseover for further informations about the settings would be nice :-)

Scroll function with the mouse died on me in the tech tree and also in the modules of a ship. a restart helped me out

 

the more info in port , the better: length overall, breath extreme, draft, height, crew and tonnage would be a nice addition

If you start the match you get switched to 3rd person view automatically I think.

I like all the new stuff, except for the fire. But now I figured out that I can disable it, so I don't care any more.

The scopes are great especially the dynamic one! But I would love to see some more of the static ones in the dynamic section to choose from.

For the ones who are complaining about the missing countdown if the ship gets for example on fire: It's still there, just press ALT for the alternative battle screen and you can see the countdown :)

 

I'm really looking forward to this patch! A lot of cool new and improved stuff! Well done

I like the binoc customization, and since the update, alternate battle interface shows the timers again, so that is nice as well. Fire effect is a bit weird, but glad it can be toggled.
