What's your favorite BB?

Its a close call between the New Mexico and the Colorado for me but ive gotta go with the Colorado. I ground through it before they buffed it as well.

 

I like it because:

 

- The guns hit hard

- The range is decent

- Its a small target

- AA is great

- Turning circle is good

- Armor is good

- Its slow. Yep I like the speed. Its advantageous sometimes because it saves me rushing in and getting focused down. Its a double edged sword though I guess because im less capable of escaping trouble.

- I think it looks good.

Of course it's got to be the Tirpitz. But among the non premium I agree with OP in choosing the Standard Type. Jap BBs, meh, I find their protection too weak. I gladly trade some knots for a real armored belt like New Mexico's.

nothing to add to that. Tirpitz. All day, all week.

Although the Grand Old Lady with its amazing accuracy is also really fun to play - but unlike the Tirpitz it has some mildly annoying features.

you're absolutely correct.

colorado is superior to nagato and i could care less about the buff it received because it wasn't significant to her game play at all. inferior players lie to themselves that nagato is superior due to the fact she has 500-1000m more range and faster speed which is complete bs because nobody will ever hit anyone at that range

Non premium definitely Amagi.

I love the combination of speed, good guns and a nice rudder shift time.

Her armour is a bit weak but that's not a big drawback imo.

 

For premiums it's a close call but I'd say Tirpitz is winning in solo play while Warspite is winning in division.

There's nothing more glorious than a tripple Trollspite™ division with coordinated gameplay on TS.

And don't forget her 7km+ secondary range

It's a close race between the Tirpitz and Amagi, but I think I prefer the Amagi because of the better accuracy and penetration. When I see a full HP cruiser that shows me broadside in my Amagi, I can just delete him while in my Tirpitz I would be lucky to get more than 1 citadel per salvo. And against BBs I have gotten salvos of up to 40k dmg with my Amagi. Tirpitz has awesome turret traverse, rudder shift, torps, armor and ROF, but I think I still prefer the Amagi just because of the insane alpha damage that it can pump out due to having that accuracy.

Hard pressed between Nagato and Warspite atm. Both for their working secondarys and enemys who still get into range. Warspite has an edge there especally when high Tir but Nagato can perform okish in a T9 Match were Warspite is more challenged in a T8 Match. Basically i love the all guns blazing thing were they are on most BBs just fancy decorations.

New Mexico. Amazing brawler, it can erase any t5/6/7 CA in any angle and rek broadside BBs. The only downside, imo, is the reload speed

Then Amagi, i love the traverse and ship speed. Also the fact i can score ~15k dmg/salvo on unsuspected "I run broadside, u can't citadel me" Tirpitzes

Last but not least, Izumoooo  Too tricky ship, every battle is another plan, challenging and if the RNG Gods are with u, easy 130k dmg games!
