Why are wargaming still showing bias with the Benson, it is as powerful as a level 10 DD with its artillery, surely it's time to bring this ship back to its given level

Its not = to a tier 10 and most tier 9s can handle it... player behind the ship  an also make a big difference.   Took on a fletcher in my benson, the fletcher player could not hit a side of a barn with a beach ball.  So was easy to handle him.... and the fletcher way out shines the benson.

​According to you it only takes one figure to set the tier of a vessel. Shall we put the Yamamoto on tier 20. It has a much better artilery as the Gearing.

 

To be more seriously, you can't compare vessels based on one figure. Look at the others, play with them , and after that tells us if a vessel is OP or UP. We might take you even serious.

Whatever. I get allergies everytime someone calls for a nerf on something. You are endorsing WG policy to balance ships by nerfing the good performers instead of buffing the buckets. And I'm sick of grinding lines, slogging my way through all the paywalls just to have the fun ships nerfed soon after I get them/just before I get them.

A lot of ships are well balanced, but it is still early days with WoW, some ships are UP, some are OP, finding the right balance i would imagine is quite difficult, but Benson is certainly one of those ships that is way overpowered for a T8

I don't have either in my harbor so I can't say how their respective shell travel times are, but I fear a Fletcher or a Gearing more than a Benson.

Personally I dont have it since I am at the Mahan which is decent but I do have IJN T9 and 8 and RU T8 and I can not say I give the slightest f**k if I meet up with a Benson I know in 90% of cases I will come out victorious so please elaborate on the OP-nes of this ship and in what way it reflects in game.

It's artillery is nowhere near as good as that of a Gearing or Khabarovsk and its torpedoes can't compete with those of a Fletcher or Shimakaze.

 

It's a very good all-rounder, but I wouldn't consider it overpowered.

 

I know its bad manners to bring personal statistics into this discussion, but its difficult to value your input regarding which ships are OP considering your statistical performance.

In your defense I will mention that these values are over a month old, though, since you are hiding your stats. Nothing inherently wrong with that, by the way, I did it as well for a time.

IIRC OP (The last time you were complaining about the Benson), you stated that you play IJN destroyers and you use them to duel other destroyers.

 

If this is the case, then perhaps re-asses what the different nations are good at. IJN are great scouts, and hunt BB. US hunt other DD.

Benson is +2 artillery with a faster reload than the Kagero T9, and -1 to the Fletcher T10 but has faster reload, so how does that add up

Yes it has faster reload compared to Kagero ( hint: this is an IJN dd, which are well known for there amazing guns torpedoes ).

And any Fletcher will eat a Benson for breakfast, no matter what some numbers say.

A decent Kagero player can take down a Benson if he knows how to use his guns. Problem is some IJN captains just don't use guns for some weird reason, out of those that don't use guns some come to the forum to complain when they die to a Benson.

A Benson being better than a Fubuki? yes in a gunfight, no on a torpedo fight. But if the Fubuki gets a couple of good salvos into you it may be a problem, the alfa damage on the Fubuki is really good.

A Benson being better than a Tashkent? situational, maybe.

Just saying a ship is OP doesnt make it so, at least try and say why.

 

But I guess you have trouble dealing with Bensons in your Fubuki. Didnt you also make a thread about the Benson being OP in ranked battles a while ago?

I wasn't going to bother replying but this post I want to say my piece. Firstly, posts complaining about certain ships being OP are only posted by players who have been right royally beaten and having their a$$es hand to them on a plate by the 'OP' ship. I am currently on the Benson and I can assure you it ain't a walk in the park, sure it can be a sneaky sh1t 'invisi' firing but to sink a ship purely by guns alone takes a shed load of time. Oh, last night in a tier 10 battle a Fletcher handed my a$$ on a plate taking my guns out before sinking me, Benson OP? hell no. Sheesh.....
