Now i had alot of free  XP so i went straight to Tier 8 , My first impression  is that its  OK not that super good . Offcourse it depends how  you play it.

 

Which Tier are you at , and how do you feel about them ????

You can't really judge the line by 1 ship.

 

T2 seems okay-ish. I hate the huge shell arc tho.

 

T3 has amazing 130mm guns. Loads of fires and easy 2-3k damage salvos. The arc is quite good.

 

T4 is unlocked but I haven't bought it yet.

 

I am looking forward to Kirov and Budoyni or whatever the name is, they seem to be the gems of this line along with Dmitri and Moskva.

 

Low tiers seem to take a lot of damage from HE, but it is just spamfest anyway, I guess its the same with all the low tiers now.

They are OK,nothing too special untill you get the T9 Dmitri Donskoi

No you admitted you have played 1 ship the tier 8 and you then used the word They!!! thats Plural. Now Troublemaker_CRO input is valid as he has he has played more than one and given n opinion on the ones he has played! Mister_Greek as a supertester has probably played most if not all of them.  Now if you had said! I jumped to tier 8 and my opinion on that ship is its ok but not great you statement would also have been valid and worth while.

 

My response then would have been Cool can you tell me some more about the tier 8 like its good and bad points!!! I like the topic and am interested to know what they are like! but a Rash statement say They as in All is wrong when you have only played 1.

From what I have read from various testers before their release the tier 8 is one of the worst in the line so well done for free exping to there!

 

As others have said, since you have only played the tier 8 you should really say that you find 'it' ok, not 'them' ok.

Anyways , Yes the Tier 8 Chapayev , is good , not attacking ship more of support , Great against DDs also Cruiser in same class , But you must always cover your side or else you get citadeled every time. 

HE from distance aint good not puting alot of fires , AP the same , but when you are at 10-15km then its shows its true strenght , Easy fires and also AP is good . I play it with conceleament and good anti-air kapten. 

Its anti-air is brutal for sure.

So she plays a lot like the tier 5 and 6 German CA's? Good guns but always try to make sure there is a juicy target close to you to attract fire

Xp d to T5 was not impressed then to T6 the BUD and I like it a lot

I never free XP to miss out ships. I think you need to grind them all to get a good idea how to play them. Obviously I tested all of them on live. I thought the T8 was the worse of the line. The MK is much better due to gun range and smoke. The radar does not make up for this and is only available with the second hull. My favourites were the T3, T4 and T9. T6 is ok and quite balanced.

It's funny that WG put good ships at tiers 3,5/6 and 9/10 but awful ones are tiers 4,7/8

It seems like there are 3 "sets" of players/play areas. Tier 3 for lols, tiers 5/6 for most casual gamers and tiers 9/10 for the hardcore.

The ones In between seem transitional and difficult/less fun to play. Perhaps deliberate so you have to transition between the three play styles. And to tempt you to free XP of course

Tier II shoots to low Earth orbit and back before the shells land. Decent speed though.

Tier III is St Louis with less HP and less armour.

I like the Kirov but it's armor is worse than the Königsberg and the engine breakes more often than this

Free xp to T6 - seems OK but i do way too little damage in it compared to the IJN ships. Yes the arc and the range is excellent but it has weaker AP then the germans and weaker HE than the japanese, so all in all it feels i have to shoot way more shells to get some citadels and some fires...

 

They are different ships which is good. Do i like them, will i go for the Moskva? Well the lack of content says yes, i have nothing really else to do in Wows lately, just waiting for new lines.

Having played them all, the ones i liked were t3-4-5-6 because all of them were different, and to a certain extent the t9. The Moskva, while having glorious guns, is too frustrating to play for me because of the size, detection and armor As for the t7-8, i don't find them having a big "personality" and their gameplay doesn't change from the t6 so it wasn't that interesting to me.

 

Overall tho i found the line to have some pretty interesting designs

T2 hated it

T3 couldnt hit the broadside of a yamato across a car park with the 152mm guns. hoping the 130mm are better.

Just started but I think I'm going to keep the Novik. That ship is a beauty and had an interesting life too. Gameplay wise, I like her as well.

I got T5 T9 and T10 but only played the T10 still and thats 2-3 rounds...Won them all and i really like the range..22.4km...and radar damn i got that  T10 DD bad! love the Moskva!

 

And got the skill4 fire skill up...so many fires on T10 BBs hehe
