Erste bekannte Änderungen in 0.8.2:

  • Das Arsenal wird in Armory umbenannt (englischer Client)
  • Es werden (auf Communty Wunsch) ca. 50 Schiffe darin für Dublonen zu erwerben sein
  • Dafür werden sämtliche Premium Schiffe aus den regulären Trechtrees entfernt (ins Arsenal verschoben), um diesen auf "normale Schiffe" auszurichten

Es kommen 3 neue Maps ins Spiel. Diese sind für Tier VIII - X gedacht. Werden somit (vermutlich) 50x50 groß sein. 

Namen, sowie Stil (Eis, Mittelmeer, Nordsee, etc) sind noch nicht bekannt bzw. entschieden. Lediglich geplante Layouts sind bisher bekannt. Die entsprechenden Karten sind bisher ausschließlich als frühe Konzepte zu betrachten und können sich im Laufe der Test noch massiv verändern.

Am 04.03.2019 können alle Spieler die zwischen dem 22.02.2019 und dem 01.03.2019 ein Gefecht gespielt haben 24h Premium, einen gratis Container und Flaggen beanspruchen. 

Grund sind Server Ausfälle in dieser Zeit (von denen ich nicht mal was mitbekommen hab).

The accuracy settings for the Soviet battleships were very "unnatural" and the change of the spread at long range increases sharply. Also such settings gave too large of an accuracy bonus at distances of mid to close range fights. Therefore, the values of the vertical and horizontal spread were adjusted so that accuracy depending on the distance changes more smoothly. This will slightly reduce the accuracy on the range up to 12 km.

The Soviet battleships were too effective in "tanking" cruisers' damage thanks to their good armor, high HP pool and the special settings of the Damage Control Party. Therefore, to balance the interaction of the Soviet BBs and cruisers, but keep other traits intact, the duration of the DCP is reduced. This will increase the total damage Soviet BBs receive from fires.

We are ready to announce the details of the new Azur Lane collaboration.

This time new content is not limited to Commanders with original voice line packs, but also features ships, port, a new Collection and more.

We already have 7 Azur Lane Commanders, but this event will bring 8 more: Neptune, Prinz Eugen, Dunkerque, Atago, Azuma, Montpelier, Yukikaze and Kaga.

ST, changes to the Soviet battleships, Georgia, Indomitable, Yoshino

Soviet battleship Kreml, tier X:

- Armor of deck and stern armorbelt is increased from 50 to 60mm;
- Penetration of AP shells is lowered;
- Torpedo protection increased from 29% to 46%;
- Removed the option of installing the Gun Fire Control System Modification 2;
- HP of main caliber turrets increased from 20 000 to 40 000;

Soviet battleship Sovetsky Soyuz, tier IX:

- Armor of deck and armorbelt above the casemate is increased from 40mm to 60mm;
- Penetration of AP shells is lowered;
- Torpedo protection increased from 21% to 35%;
- Removed an option of installing the Gun Fire Control System Modification 2;
- HP of main caliber turrets increased from 20 000 to 40 000;

Soviet battleship Vladivostok, tier VIII:

- Penetration of AP shells is lowered;

New penetration values will increase the combat efficiency at close and medium distances, but lower at long ranges. Also it will reduce the number of over-penetrations.

These armor adjustments are made to help these ships feel more comfortable at close and medium ranges and allow them to better resist HE shells of cruisers with improved penetration. Torpedo protection is improved to allow soviet battleships stay on the first line of engagement longer, even if enemy destroyers are nearby.

These ships have their turrets damaged more often due to fighting on close ranges, thus the amount of HP is increased.

Because of unique dispersion ellipse, upgrade for firing range was significantly weaker than other options and was removed.

Soviet battleship Slava, tier X:

- Deck armor and stern armorbelt thickness is reduced from 50 to 32mm;
- Sigma is increased from 1.7 to 1.9;
- Main guns firing range increased from 20.7 to 24.7;
- "Repair party" consumable number of charges increased from 2(3) to 3(4);
- Standard for battleships "Damage control party" consumable is given.
- Accuracy parameters changed.

Considering Slava is more of a standard battleship, her consumables, accuracy and firing range are set closer to those of her classmates. At the same time, armor was lowered, since it would grant the ship excessive protection.

New accuracy settings will be the Slava's feature: on close ranges it will be worse than of other battleships, but will be better than classmates' on longer ranges.

American battleship Georgia, tier IX:

- Accuracy of the main caliber guns is increased;
- Secondary guns firing range is increased from 6 to 7.5 km;
- Secondary guns reload time is reduced from 6 to 4 s;
- "Engine boost" consumable is added: action time 180 s, maximum speed +15%, reload time 120 (90) s, 2 (3) charges.
- An option to install "Engine boost modification I" is given;
- "Repair party" values are changed:
- HP/s restoration is lowered from 0.66%/s to 0.5%/s
- Reload time is lowered from 120 (80) s to 60 (40) s.

Georgia was designed to fight at long ranges, but testing showed that good accuracy only compensates for a low
amount of guns, but doesn't sufficiently qualify as a feature of the ship. Considering the ballistics and good speed characteristics, we made a decision to change the concept of this battleship to that of a more dynamic one. Georgia will feel most comfortable at medium distances. Good secondaries resembling those of Massachusetts, "Engine boost" with +15% to maximum speed and "Repair party" with low reload time will allow her to fight more aggressively. The adjusted accuracy will allow, on average, to hit the target with about half of the shells even at the maximum distance.

Please, note that this is a concept and it may change during testing.

British aircraft carrier Indomitable, tier VIII:

- Aiming ellipse size of attack aircraft is increased:
- Inner ellipse size is increased by 24%;
- Outer ellipse size is increased by 42%;
- Amount of rockets hitting the inner ellipse is lowered from 75% to 50%.

Testing showed that attack aircraft were too effective against destroyers. Increasing the size of the aiming ellipse and accuracy changes will lower the damage done to destroyers, with almost no changes to interaction with other classes.

Japanese cruiser Yoshino, tier X:

New torpedoes added:
- Reload time: 167 s;
- Maximum damage: 20967;
- Speed: 62 knots;
- Range: 20 km;
- Detectability range: 2.5 km.

There are plans for the cruiser to have two types of torpedoes, and at the coming iteration we're going to test a new variant: torpedoes with long range but high detectability.

ST, Victory competition, new unique commander

Friendly competition "Victory" goes on in the 0.8.4 update. Rules of the event remain the same, but the rewards are changing.

 

New collection dedicated to the Russian and Soviet navy consisting of 8 parts is coming. For completing the sub-collections, you will be able to gain containers, a second flag and alternative camouflage color scheme for the Soviet destroyers and cruisers. For the whole collection you will be able to set the second flag and alternative camouflage color scheme for the Soviet battleships.

 

For successes in the competition you will get a new temporary resource, which can be used to get different in-game items, Murmansk cruiser and special containers with the chance to get one of the Soviet premium ships: Okhotnik, Molotov. Leningrad or Lenin.

 

The most important reward for the second part of the competition is a new unique commander Nikolay Kuznetsov. He has two talents:

 

"Hidden reserve" - activates with obtaining the "First blood" achievement and gives 1 charge for all consumables of the ship.
"Will to win" - activates once per battle, if ships HP drops below 10% and give following bonuses for 30 seconds:
Effect of the "Damage control party" consumable is applied to the ship (no consumable charges spent);
Dispersion of shells fired by the enemy at your ship increases by 20%;
Effect of the "Repair party" regenerating up to 7.5% HP (no consumable charges spent).
These talents do not work in Clan battles.

Besides that, this commander has one improved skill: "Jack of all trades" lowers the reload of all consumables by 10% and not by 5%.

"Will to win" talents stands out because of the trigger condition. It activates easier than other talents. But it's worth to consider that it will activate when the ship is almost destroyed and gives less bonuses than talents of other unique commanders. Besides that, Nikolay Kuznetsov has only one improved skill, and this is an additional balancing factor.

The way the new commander performs may further influence the development of the system of unique commanders.

 

ST, 12th ranked season.

The 0.8.4 update will feature a new ranked season with teams of 7 tier X ships. A new achievement will be issued for achieving the first rank. The number of ranks and steel doesn't change compared to the 11th season.

 

After updating the aircraft carriers' gameplay in 0.8.0, many changes based on your feedback were done to improve the interaction of this class and other ships. Considering the introduction of the squadron take-off preparation time at the beginning of the game, we believe that aircraft carriers may be added into the ranked battles. After the gameplay changes, they have become practically the "new" class, they changed the game and will change ranked battles. There will be no more than 1 carrier for each team in the new season. Carriers are especially effective against solo targets, but a group of ships is able to protect itself from aviation, so maps and modes were chosen to let the ships support each other, but not force the whole team to stay together.

 

Battles will take part in "Domination" and reworked "Epicenter" modes, the latter being the same as "Rings of Saturn" from the 0.8.2 update: control areas are captured independently.

 

Similar to Clan battles, rental ships for ranked battles are introduced for the case where you don't have tier X ships but you want to try ranked battles. These ships will be given for battles on a certain class, so the rental destroyer may be obtained after a battle on a tier VIII or higher destroyer. This will let players use their already obtained skills. Battle results with rental ships won't count for the ranked emblem progress and you can't get battle achievements with them.

It is designed for tier IX — X battles and in two versions for the “Domination” mode: with 3 or 4 control areas. Local weather is also present on this map and will be applied with the 25% probability for tier X battles.

One of the most important points in interaction between aircraft carriers and other ships is the possibility of very early spotting of most of the enemy team. It significantly affects the tactics of battle and often deprives the ships with good concealment of their advantage at the very beginning of the battle. To reduce the impact of aviation on the detection of teams, we have introduced a preparation time for takeoff of squadrons at the beginning of the game. It will depend on the level of the aircraft carrier:

  • Tier IV — no delay;
  • Tier VI — 15 seconds;
  • Tier VIII — 30 seconds;
  • Tier X — 45 seconds.

This change, together with time it takes the squadron to get to the targets, will allow teams to start moving to the control areas and take good positions. We will watch the effect of this change closely and introduce further changes if needed.

 

Dynamic daytime changes introduced in the ports of Philippines, New York, Saint Petersburg, Zipangu, Hamburg, Naval Base and Ocean ports. If you change your port on one of these, the timer will start ticking and the port’s visual will change accordingly to it.

Smolensk gets a 30mm upper belt.

Colbert gets a 50mm upper belt.

80mm main belt for colbert, 70mm for smolensk.

Both get 30mm decks.

Colbert can get 7 turrets firing at 45 degree angles, and 8 guns firing at broadside & long range.

Smolensk gets 31 degree angles for his guns.

Hill gun and torp angles are not good.

Somers torp angles are mediocre, but her gun angles are the 30 degree standard.

Slava got a new AA suite with the soviet 57mm quads, and it is now the strongest BB AA in the game by a LOT.
