Do you like new sounds when module is damaged?

Me... I don't. They are out place and most importantly, they are really annoying and hard for ears. Constructive suggestion for WG is to replace them with old ones until they think of something better.

Have only managed to play one game since the new patch.. umm or is that the first newest patch.. downloading another now. Haven't heard these bad sounds so I'm quite worried now. Soon as this "new" patch does it's thing I will try and see how the sounds are.

Edit: I must be deaf (which I am but not fully) because all sounds are ok to myself. What am I listening out for that everyone dislikes ?.

Not a big fan of them as of yet. But perhaps it's just a matter of getting used to them

Get a critical hit on your warship?

Here, have a sound of 2 dying radios from a Transformer movie! wtf?

Both thumbs down for these horrible new sounds!

Suspect this will get closed. Lots of similar threads exploding. Put it in the current update feedback.

I think WG might be aware they aren't popular already :D

Well before it gets closed I would like to give a perfect description of what came to my mind when I read the other threads :hiding:

I fail to understand how anyone could have come up with such an atrocious idea for a sound effect and how someone in charge approved of it, it got created, then integrated into the game by someone then tested by numerous people and none of them spoke up and said "hey guys, this is pure crap, we can't put this in the game, people will think we are retarded"

yes, "nails on the chalkboard" is my favorite track

To quote myself from another reply:

First time it happened, I checked if I had accidentally torp killed a friendly. Few seconds later again, and I was thinking "great, there goes my soundcard". Gosh.

I don't actually mind the sound itself, but it does not fit the game or situation during which it plays in my opinion.

I would prefer its removal as well.

Sound warnings for critical damage and such is a good thing overall, but the choice of effects is very bad to say the least.

That "electronic" type of sound kills quite a bit of immersion for me as I cannot picture these sounds in that era.

It's not a matter of preference... It's a matter of health. That sound pitch reaches dangerously high tones compared to the average sound levels of the rest of the game, notifying some1 that something bad happens is k...

...Killing ear sensitivity by launching sounds that go too far from the average level of your application is not nice.

Like when i broke my arm at first it really really hurt but after the first hour or so it was not that bad anymore and when i finally got painkillers it was even manageable.
