collision avoidance

Ok is it just me or the collision avoidance warning is more of a " you are going to hit in an island" than "warning you are going to hit in an island, do something"? The more i play the more i get convinced that when i hear the alarm im going to crash and cant do almost anything about it

Collision avoidance is the auto steering option, and it will not override manual steering so you can hit islands even with it on. The sound is the collision warning sound, their not the same thing.
