Hello old folk!

For those of you who played in the CBT the Sims was a feared DD when it arrived and cost nearly 30 euros.

Then the OBT came and the sims was nerfed into oblivion with a much worse shell travell time and a shell arc that goes into orbit when you fire the guns.

Now the sims feels meh-ish. If i could i would gladly change it for the gremy. I want the old sims back because the one we got now sucks compared to the old one and the old one worked just fine. Now your getting outgunned by IJN DDs because the shell time is so horrible you can barley aim.

Is it possible to get the old sims back?

I agree, I bought the trio package:- Sims, Gremmy and Yubari. The only one bearing any semblance to the ships I originally purchased is the Gremmy (Russian of course:) The Sims as stated previously now shoots at the moon and Yubari AA is rubbish so both ships along with the other nerfs are nothing like my initial purchase and now I rarely play them but can't bring myself to sell them (they're so pretty). Come on WG give me back what I bought (do trade descriptions apply here?)

What I don't understand about this is WG's argument about "not touching premium ships" which is why the Michaelwhatshisname got a buff last patch to remain as combat effective as it was pre-patch. Why is this rule not considered for the early premium ships?

Does anyone look? does anyone care? Is all this chat a waste of time? Or is it just us getting it off our chests? I think so - 'Nil illigitimum carborundum' (don't let the B'stds grind you down) Just keep wishing for a miracle and that we'll get back what we paid for eventually.

What you must realise is that the not touching premium applies only to Russian ships.

You people said only the Gremmy was like its CBT form and that the Mikhail was given a buff.

What do these ships and Wargaming have in common?

They're Russian.

Same applies to them adding a half-made up line of RUSSIAN destroyers, instead of adding one of the largest navys in the world, the Royal Navy. This is all just Russian bias.

I have played my old Sims ALOT the last 3-4 weeks. And its true, it used to be better, but im actually doing ok in it.

I have great guns, and okìsh Torps.

I play with the 5,5 km torp setup, but i have now tryed with the 9,2 toprs and then use the captain skill for faster torps at the cost of 20% range.

And that Works out very well for me i cn now stealth torp with succes and at the same time i have really good guns against other DDs.

I start the games with chaseing flags and enemy DDs, later i switch to stealth torping BBs and defending my teams BBs.

All in All - Im pretty satisfied with the ship right now. I see it as a defensive ship and a great escort for Jap DDs and BBs

The gremlin is the only one of those three ships i play on a regular basis and enjoy doing so. I may be wrong but i seem to have it at the back of the little grey cells that wargaming reserves the right to change withdraw and generally rebalance any ship with or without notice, id like the kitakami to return however probably not going to happen. The problem is the rebalancing that they have to do, you see as they add new ships they disturb the ecosystem of what is a good all rounder to an overpowered ship here and there. I watched jingles interviews with wargaming recently and can see the same problems from tanks making their way across to ships.

So in summary chances of getting the original sims back are equivalent to Beyonce popping round for a cup of tea.

I got one :) I don't play it anymore - Wargaming doesn't care, because they already have my money :D

I'm fine with the guns on the Sims since they are equal to USN DD guns in general.

However the torpedo choices are a complete letdown. Short range torps are very situational, but at least they hit reliably. Long range torps are well... underwhelming ? They have reduced damage and are horribly slow, not a good choice either - ofc you'll get lucky every now and then. Giving Sims Mahan torps would just be fine, since Sims has one launcher less (1/3 less torpedos in the water) compared to Mahan, while Sims is a faster and stealthier ship than Mahan.

PS: Luckily I got a Gremy as well :)
