I genuinely don't know if enough ships exist even paper designs. Maybe there are more? Is it easier to just make ships up than it is to actually base a design on actual hardware that may be out there from other Navies? I suggest reading the forum a bit more. As I said if you had actually read my post I did not have time for a large search, also I do not spend vast amounts of time on the forums and was asking the question what would they use besides a healthy dose of fantasy.. I also said that I was unsure of what designs were out there and were there more? I was further making the point that they would probably be paper designs. After looking on the US forum which oddly has better info and other sources, it seem that indeed 50% of the tiers; 1, 6, 7, 9 and 10 are paper ships. Should one prepare oneself by playing some smaller related events, like ColonelPete's suggestions, or should one prepare oneself by getting very hyped and reading wiki articles on these ships? Tirpitz and Warspite were and are lone ships for a very long time.. Myogi and Wyoming are grinders a means to an end ...ie get through them to the next tier... if someone places an 18 skill captain and plays 300 odd games in the wyoming. He is going to be overperforming in contrast to the masses... how many people keep the wyoming as a keeper when there are much better ships up the line? Yes RU ships are very good but only if played well... Really... what do you consider preparing? How about not having us wait for another 4 weeks and instead drop the cruisers into the game right now instead? This is doing anything BUT build a hype. How about instead putting something like that in the launcher? And have datasheets of the ships published every 3-4 days? And make the datasheets so that people can actually get a good impression of what those ships are capable of? I fully expect you to have your ususal youtubers in this as well, so they can show off their impressions of the Russian cruisers before they're released ingame? May be, just may be, make events or contests where you could, just could, potentially, possibly, hand out russian premiums? It was same before german cruisers and Soviet DDs (USN BBs and INJ Carriers released in May => 5 months to October). Although balance stuff is important, ships are that thing which make battles interesting and motivate players to play. Playing against same ships is always batle by batle more boring. Cleveland is still same cleveland with better range by AFT or without it. That is reason why it would be better if WG would release ship lines more often....
