Start restricting numbers of Destroyers in Games

So to summ it up. Average t10 "noob" does greater dmg in Yama (not to mention us cv till this patch) than guys in Shima.

 

If we look on EXP gains than dd have clear advantage. But most players are crying about torps and dmg And not about capping zones

 

Maybe because of this......

but still i think that cruiser dodge all of them :)

 

also how many torps in water can put 2 IJN t10 CVS ? :) 30? :)

 

and how many shells in air can have 3 Montanas every 25 seconds...i counted 36 each possible of 10k plus dmg

 

still did not give simmple reason why Shima does lower dmg than Yamato, Montana, Midway or Haku....

 

yes this wall of torpedo looks scary...but every stats page shows that BB and CV outdmg t 10 DDs

also as i said in this post, i am all for to limit ships by number and by nation to gain perfect balance

 

1 cv same nation

1-2 bs (same nation distibution) per side

1-3 DD (same nation distribution per side

rest Cruisers (same nation distribution per side)

Just had to check Ship Analytics...on ALL servers (NA,EU,SEA,RU) Shima is in bottom 4 dmg dealer in tX. So i guess you have to work quite hard for your dmg in it, after all.

 

Back to subject..

How about:

Max 2 CV

Max 3 BB

Max 3 DD

And fill up the rest with CA?

There is no "l2p" when your Yamato gets matched against 4 Shimakaze, 3 of them playing as division. Your screen turns red, then you die. End of story.

 

Which is entirely different from tripple yamato divisions focus firing ships from 20km away.. no wait, that's in all possible ways far worse.

How about:

Max 2 CV

Max 3 BB

Max 3 DD

And fill up the rest with CA?

 

Should be 50% more DDs than BBs (to make up for DD hunting DDs, and how they should be more numerous by default).

That CA is far less likely to die from those torps than either of those BBs that are in range of it.

your stats showes you have minekaze as highest IJN dd.....playing in beta or on "friends" account can not give you reall insight in any ship...and when we talk about noob shps....i see you like IJN cv-s :).....really really hard ships....it is hard to fly to ship and torp him with 15 torps from 3 km :)

 

carriers are harder to play than any other class of ship, and no carrier can carry 15 torps even top tier its max 12.

 

im not for DD nerfs but what you are saying there is plane wrong.

Well t10 IJN cv has 3 squad of torpedo planes. With captain skill it is 5 plane in squad. So it is 15 torpedos drop in one strike + possible 10 bombs. Massive dmg potential. 

 

I do not think cv as hard to play.  As any ship They are are hard to master but most players in cv does highest dmg in his ships portfolio. So it is easy to do dmg in it. Stats shows it.

I do not think cv as hard to play.  As any ship They are are hard to master but most players in cv does highest dmg in his ships portfolio. So it is easy to do dmg in it. Stats shows it. 

 

the skill does not effect torpedo bombers, it only effects fighters and dive bombers.

 

besides its a very pointless argument all together since japanese airlaunched torpedos have lower dmg, penetration and higher risk of losing airplanes.

 

the torpedos are also slower (russian DDs can outrun them even with upgrades) and it usually takes 4 or 5 mins to carry out an attack run.

 

if carriers truly do have the highest damage output (which i'm pretty sure is a thing reserved for battleships) then that is onl because the few % of people who play carriers are far better than the average player of other ship types.

 

i my self plays all types of a ships, carriers even for me as a very competent RTS player are the hardest ships to play where as BB by far are the easiest to play.

well to be fair i had my tier 5 carry back in the days where you had 3 torp squads in that tier, they nerfed both the damage, speed and number of planes since then, so it is not a fair comparison.

 

and well again i lose money on attacking, by losing planes (at tier 8 i can lose 70k simply to bomb repair), that's as much as a destroyer of that tier loses by dying, so it is sort of fair.

 

at the destroyer tier 7, well destroyers often end up fighting other destroyers, some few games i like done 70k in salvo with my torps vs a BB at 9 km that is blissfully unaware but just as many games i run into like a benson, and well that isn't a fair fight to be in.

 

oh and about the skill, yes yes i am sure.

you won because you get Yamm....and they t9 bs.....and it is obviously (by poll) that communiti is sick of this bullshits of "how manyy dds are in game" crap every day ew one.

 

i am sure (as allways) that lowest dmg class gets the victory....especialy in game where capping is not prior but raw dmg......:child:

It's a common trend that any player that is against limiting DD numbers is either someone who doesn't play T9-10 or someone who has 40% win ratio in any ship above tier 7.

I own the Shimakaze, Gearing and Khabarovsk.

 

DDs should absolutely be limited to 3, max 4, per game. Any more and you're guaranteed to have an incredibly stale boring game unless you are playing a DD/CV.

 

It's very much needed for the overall health of the game.

It's very much needed for the overall health of the game.

 

We need to wait the radar upgrades on cruisers that is coming, But yeah for now t8+ games are boring to death.

Radar will only make Gun boat DDs unable to use offensive smoke to shoot at stuff and only in the cases where there are USN or Soviet Cruisers in the game that have also selected that consumable. 

 

It will do nothing to counter 4+ DDs per team and the Torp spam.
