No one playing ranked?

Seems no one is playing, been playing for the past 90 mins, but on average its 10min waiting times and I've only played 6 battles. Have WG gone and made Ranked battles to unappealing to the wider user base?

It is a weekday morning, so normally not too many players are active right now. After work/school hours are better.

 

Also, have in mind that the Ranked season is coming to an end and many players either have already reached Rank 1 or tried in the beginning and now have stopped.

I only went for rank 15. Cause you get the hawaiian flag (at least that's what it says... If not, meh).

 

I did play a few to get rank 14, because the rewards looked nice. But I only played a few games. For some reason hitting rank 15 meant I now could only play with afk tirpitz players (not kidding, like 3 games in a row). So I  just quit, since I don't really care about it anyways. I'm waiting for team battles.

Had five or six games in ranked and it was nothing but frustration.Total waste of time.More earnings sure but fun,nope.If i want more earnings i'll hop into one of my Prems in random and have a better time.

its bad as everyone complains that ranked it packed with dd's but just try playing in a bb or a ca your queue time is immense yet you jump straight in a game if you are dd cand say for cv as ive never played them

I stopped playing last weekend, after I reached rank 3.

One reason is the low population in the upper ranks.

So at the end of season 2 there were ~1500 players at ranks 2 to 5, while until last saturday in this season it's less than 500 (ignoring rank 1 as they don't play anymore).

Simple suggestion for next season, add another rank or two to the premier league to fill the ranks.

 

I also started late into the season, ~3 weeks after it started, due to "burn-out" from the previous season and several other "incompatible" events/missions/... And I read of many others with the same "objection" that season 3 followed to close after season 2. I wouldn't mind if they made it a quarterly event, e.g. 6 weeks ranked every quarter and then a 7 weeks break till the next season. Could also be 6 weeks "normal" ranked, followed by 6 weeks team battles.

Only went to 15 too because of the Flag. I guss the new season isnt really interesting for prople allready having a pirate flag so less reason to go all way from the numbers. Anyway should upgrade from my Fubuki this weekend so i dont have a ranked T8 DD anyway after that

maybe fore some (at least for me) te reason to play ranked was to get a ship (like in season 1) thats why they played season 2 but since you did not got a ship none playes ranked anymore cuz they are disappointed

Apart from what many people say, in premier league, there actualy are quite a lot of good players (were), but they are now rank1

Made it to the rank 10, and the teams are absolutely bad. Xvm mod shows that everyone are yellow, orange or red. Green and blue are pretty rare. And i have seen only 1 purple so far. Even if you are able to do lots of damage, hold caps its not simply enough since there is always those feeders.

I think there is a major problem. For example I started ranked a few days ago and I was able to carry the lower tier games, just take the mutsuki out and kill 3-4 of their team solo.

But when ships can actually do more damage it's a lot harder to carry bad players.

Got to rank 14 and it's so difficult to carry the terrible players who've clearly been stuck at this rank all season who don't communicate nor know how to use their ships.

Something definitely needs to be done about this or they may as well make the season 2 weeks long and leave it at that.

 

However any tips on which ships are best for carrying bad players would be much appreciated!

Currently using Atago with sonar and it's doing serious work and earning great cash.

I've tried that, I park my NC and actually attack with it. Then I get my teammates who've died in the first 2 minutes saying nice moves.

All I did was not show broadside to enemy BB who give me theirs and easy citadels while reversing from the DD.

 

Also I might as well use atago, if I can't get any more ranks just for the cash. But I will try the NC again.

500k minimum per game as I'm getting at least 1500 on the losing side and up to 3500 on the winning.

 

Hopefully more people feel the same so this thread gets bumped and Wargaming think about it for Season 4.

The standard of some of the players at rank 13/14 has to be seen to be believed, destroyers in domination games that don't bother to cap at the start, battleships that sail down the incredibly narrow passage in the NW of the shatter map, players who sail their BB in completely the opposite direction despite the plan being agreed in chat, players who think that teamkilling is still funny at tier 7.

 

 

When you've got players who have managed to get their WR down to 40% in random in a team of 7 even good players aren't going to be able to compensate for that, the game just comes down to which side has the most idiots.
