The Swedes do not seem to have any complicated schemes such as the Americans or the British.  I saw only spotted, splintered patterns that can be done with some discrepancy from history.  You got it cool)

Thank you!

The tier VIII-X patterns are basically my tribute to the Swedish splinter pattern and the fact that even today, when everybody and their mother is switching to digital camos, they still use it . Also, I wanted the camouflages to work as a missing link between the historic Swedish camouflages and the patterns on the modern Visby class.

By the way .. I read that the Swedes during the war bore neutrality not only in white, but also in some others, perhaps the colors of the national flag .. does anyone have information about this more precisely)?

In black and white photos - Psilander, color photo - I don’t know, maybe there are even problems with color reproduction.

Update 0.9.2.1 fixes the Type 5 camouflage for Västerås - the missing texture file has been added.

This is the first time I see this, so I have nothing to add... but it looks pretty.

I slowly create my own pack, with historical patterns and solid colors.  I think how type 1 this scheme would look gorgeous for the Swedes.  Early ships will be with a two-color stripe, later ships with a white stripe + number, well, more modern ships of 9-10 level seem to have an alphanumeric code)

With Update 0.9.3, Type 1/2/5 camouflages for Halland get added.

This pattern was inspired by the new paint scheme for the Sukhoi Su-57.

Tier IX Japanese destroyer Kitakaze finally joins the club:

Also, I really really don't want to seem resentful, but the King of the Sea camouflage that was added to the game is a prime candidate for being modded, and I had created a pattern for the camouflage design contest back in December, and the contest entries are under a non-exclusive license to Wargaming, so... I have added my design for the King of the Sea camouflage to replace the one in game.

Finally, if you could look behind the scenes, you'd see the new Soviet cruisers being prepared. Everything is just a tiny bit unpredictable these days, but I hope I'll be able to release the camouflages for those cruisers when they are added to the game.

Update 0.9.3.1 is out. There are no changes to the files, so you can either download the updated mod or just move the files from res_mods/0.9.3.0 to res_mods/0.9.3.1 yourself.

Splendid work with those camouflages.

Though I assume there is no simple "one line edit" to turn IJN camouflages, new and old, into black/white/blue pattern akin to premium camouflages in alternate colors?

Well, it's more than one line that you would need to edit. The colour schemes are at the beginning of the camouflages.xml file. The schemes added by the mod all have Wawan or TheKingOfUm in their name, plus the ship and the type. You would have to search for all the IJN schemes added by the mod (e.g. KAGERO WAWAN Type 5) and change the colour values to white, blue and black. After each new game update, you'd have to paste your changed colour schemes into the new camouflages.xml.

As for adding the option to select a second scheme for the modded camouflages in game like you can for the standard camouflages in the vanilla client (if you have unlocked it for that particular nation/line) - I believe this to be possible, and I also have it on my to do list, but with a rather low priority. As in, should I ever have no more camouflages left that I deem mod-worthy, I'm going to do the second schemes.

For Update 0.9.4, I prepared camouflages for the new Soviet cruisers Kotovsky, Tallin, Riga, Petropavlovsk and Aleksandr Nevsky... and then I was too slow to actually apply them to Kotovsky and Tallin before they were removed from Supertest. So - this update, you're getting the camouflages worn until now by Kirov transferred to Kotovsky (but I may still need to make some adjustments to them in the next update) and Type 1/2/5 for Riga. Tallin, Petropavlovsk and Aleksandr Nevsky get their camouflages in the next patch.

The heavy cruisers will have a common theme for the funnel band designs included in their Type 5 Specials.

Also in this update: Harugumo gets added to the mod, meaning I can finally close the gap in the Japanese gunboat destroyer line.

And two camouflages get new designs:

Stream Dream came out good.  In the spirit of the First World War) In the Soviet Navy, there weren’t frequent cases of camouflage painting of ships more than a destroyer (there are cases of painting the cruisers Molotov, Kaganovich, Kalinin and others) .. But if you're interested, I found a site with some drawings (I'm not sure  their origin, but it seems to me that this is one of the albums of the collection of camouflage specialists in 1944).  There, for the most part, destroyers, minesweepers, boats, gunboats - but the schemes are very interesting if you find them in our game)

Of course I am interested. Even if I have already finished the patterns for the new Soviet cruisers, more inspiration is always good.

The site is of course in Russian, but I think you will understand with the translation of the page.  The path to the topic with coloring schemes - applications - camouflage coloring) And thanks for Haragumo - although the name was written off from the game client)

Sadly, there is a bug in the mod update released earlier this week that causes the King of the Sea camouflage to crash the game. Please download and install the new fixed version Update 0.9.4.0b.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Awesome :)
I have been using the mod for a long time and it never dissapointed :) So thank both you (TheKingOfUm) and Wawan for this mod :)
One question, though... is there any chance for a darker, solid grey camouflage for japanese DDs, CLs, CAs and BBs? Historically, only IJN CVs had the green camouflage, while most other ships were painted dark grey AFAIK...

Thank you for the kind words! I believe that it is possible to use the game's second colour schemes in a mod, so there is definitely a chance for different colour schemes in the mod.

The goal of the mod is to achieve a visual experience that is as consistent as possible. Basically, the less likely something is to disturb the immersion, either because it is rare or because it does not deviate too much from what I consider acceptable, the lower the priority. That means that I usually make camouflages for new lines with the highest priority, so that the new ships are included in the mod right from the beginning when they are played a lot. Consumable bonus camouflages are equally important, especially when they are available in higher numbers. Permanent camouflages, like those for USS Texas, are also on the list, but with lower priority, and so on. Unfortunately, alternative colour schemes are rather low on that list. I still want to do them one day, but I want to do it properly and not in a rush.

It's time for Update 0.9.5.

The mod now includes the camouflages for Tallin and Petropavlovsk.

848581052_WoWS_UniqueCamouflagePlusPetropavlovskType5.thumb.jpg.b21fe849cfaa8294402dc45337fd7e7b.jpg

...and that's all for this update. The last weeks I have mostly been busy backstage with the camouflages for the new German carriers. Barring any unforeseen obstacles, those should be ready when that line comes to the game. Also, I should be able to add the camouflages for Aleksandr Nevsky soon.

Here's an interim update for the mod.

Usually, I only add new patterns to the mod when a game update is released. But with the two Warhammer 40K consumable camouflages making their way to the server, I wanted to publish replacement textures as soon as possible.

465094483_WoWS_UniqueCamouflagePlusProtectorOfTheFaith.thumb.jpg.79ae86b4e26370169798297ba598c8f1.jpg

And since Aleksandr Nevsky is in every tier X game now, I have also added the patterns that I had prepared for her.

Since I have to publish an updated file for Update 0.9.5.1 anyway, I used the opportunity to add a replacement for the Canada Day camouflage in a timely manner. In hindsight, I guess I should have figured out that this pattern was going to make its way into the game around this time...

Update 0.9.6 brings the German Carriers, in the game and in this mod. As usual, tiers VI+ get special Type 5 camouflages.

2043541820_WoWS_UniqueCamouflagePlusWeserType5.thumb.jpg.6739f0ad2ce37921de45c8f639f039c9.jpg

The idea here is that Weser with her very high tower would be well suited to be used as a floating flight school. The yellow markings are meant to help the new pilots get used to ship-based aviation and improve operational safety.

1094634089_WoWS_UniqueCamouflagePlusRichthofenType5.thumb.jpg.ee53883c1ae2187530df39485c69e180.jpg

This camouflage is inspired by late war German Air Force night fighter camouflage schemes.

Also, I have prepared a replacement texture for the new Black-White-Red camouflage. My guess is that this is going to be the designated national consumable camouflage for Germany (like the Victory camouflage for Russia, Union Jack for the UK or Lunar Warrior for Panasia), so it should become a pretty common sight in the future. The replacement is a modern take on the iconic Baltic pattern, without looking so German that it would be out of place on other nation's ships.

Thanks for the heads-up... does this cause problems in the game? I can't check at the moment because I'm not at my WoWS computer. If it does cause problems I'll update the file tonight.
