Just a thought - will the Kamikaze lottery draw be only for those who have 150+ pearls only?

I have got 293 so far so am assured a ship but will WG be sensible about this and only place the 150-259 pearl owners in the draw? - I really hope this is the case as otherwise it will be a bit of a kick in the teeth for those who could not quite make it to see someone who automatically gets the ship to then also get the credit equivalent awarded for winning the draw.

I'm fairly sure they'll only have the draw for those with 150 and above, but below 260.

Yes, if you have 260+ pearls, you'll get the Kamikaze guaranteed, and you're expelled from the lottery. So the 2000 ships will be raffled between the players with 150 & 259 pearls.

AFAIK the WG promised lottery for all people with at least 150 pears - so the range for lottery should be 150-259 (260 and above automatically receive "Kamikaze R")...

OP is correct that the wording states "at least" 150 pearls. The obviously sensible option is for the raffle to only be for 150-259 pearls but as it's currently worded it could include 260+ people as well.

It might be worded like that on there (from before the 260 pearl option existed) but when they announced the 260 guarantee they said that getting to that milestone excluded you from the lottery.

By going above and beyond the original goal of collecting 260 Pearls, you will receive your free Kamikaze R Premium destroyer, once Project R is successfully over - and all without having to rely on pure chance! Of course, if you are not up to the challenge, you can still reach the previous goal of 150 Pearls and try your luck in the raffle for 2,000 specimens. So take a deep breath and dive into the deep for all those Project R Pearls!

 

The ship that is in the raffle is the Kamikaze and the ship you get guaranteed is the Kamikaze R as a bonus, so all with over 150 pearls should be in the raffle for the normal Kamikaze.

One can source the regular Kamikaze-camo in the files, and overwrite the Kamikaze R file with it. it's in the res -> content -> gameplay -> japan -> ship -> destroyer.

Possibly, but it would be cooler to have a special ship that is limited to 2000 ships and not like the R version which probably 10 to 20 K EU players have secured by now.

And here I thought the Kamikaze R is rewarded for both the lottery and the assured winners, with the normal Kamikaze being a future premium ship for people that missed Project R.

Yes, the Fujin (Halloween edition), Kamikaze and Kamikaze R is identical in spec's only difference being the camo pattern.

There's 2 pics, one is the bow wave blue/white camo, other is the green camo. Interesting to see what we get, mostly because I really don't like the green one

Excellent.  We get the one with the best camo design.  The green camo might end up being rarer but it simply doesn't look as good as the blue one.

To be honest, I think that Kamikaze would lend herself better to being the tier 5 in a second Japanese Destroyer line, which might be why we have the R and the Fujin.

So the question on the lottery was asked and answered by WG (I'll try and track down the answer and quote it but it was a while ago) You need 150 pearls to be in the lotto, people with 260 pearls are NOT included in the lotto. This is a straight up lottery, it does not matter if you have 150, 200 or anything else below 260, your chances are the same.

 

I'm not 100% sure but I think the "standard" Kamikaze was in the closed alpha? It's just there from that I think.

Well, the words have been written before the 260 pearl option was added.

Of course it's all speculation because none of us is a WG member.

But it makes no sense in giving a player the same ship twice at the end of one event. There will be just another arising shitstorm in the forum.
