I have to say that by looking at the order again it would make even more sense to have in order DD, CA/CL, AV/CV, BB, in this way possible connections between both cruiser and battleship lines to the carrier line could be worked out more easily. I wonder why I didn't think about it before when I made the previous suggestion.

Yeah, I know, but you know, today I have first frere day since 6 weeks...

Maybe later I'll do that.

But now, I have a question but I'm not sure if I haven't asked it already:

I found this render http://world-of-tanks.eu/_aktualnosci/aktualnosc_1643/world-of-tanks_eu_-_aktualnosc_1643_2.jpg on site http://world-of-tanks.eu/aktualnosci/-1643--7-renderow-okretow-z-world-of-warships-zuikaku-takao-yamato/

Does it mean that we have outdated knowledge about tier of Fletcher or this render is old?

The render is old.

Not many countries developed DDs which could fit at tier X.

Honestly if Shimakaze can't be tier X then no DD could possibly hope to be one... but it looks like Porter could still be placed at high tier since my assumption about her placement at tier VI was said to be incorrect. I really can't say I'm making sense out of this.

Just remember that the trees aren't set in stone.

Have a go yourselves, and see what you create, it can help a lot, I find.

The Cassone you mean that absurd BB, right?

Yup. I was sure you were going to be enthusiastic about it. :D

Well it's a paper ship designed by a guy which drank and/or used drugs before making it. There's no other logical explanation to such project since there's no way Italy was able to build a beast like that(counting that few years before the whole Caracciolo-class was put on hold and then scrapped).

Personally I think that the real issue is whether it was possible to give her a powerplant powerful enough to reach that crazy speed.

EDIT:

That said it's understandable they're considering even that design, there are several paper projects to cover holes in the lower tiers but we have almost nothing for tier X where you'll find Yamato and Montana.

In most aspects was too much. The powerplant needed was too much, even if Italy is known for speedy ships with a lot of installed power(an example the Capitani Romani and their 110.000 horse power).

Of course it's the only option for tier X, there's no other way. The UP 41 is not strong enough to compete at tier X, as the Iowa.

I'm guessing that WG will make it able to, if elite rather than the entire time.

mmm, machinery upgrades.

I'm sure that they will come up with something. In any case i wonder what there will be at low tiers. Especially since the Cavour-class and Caio Duilio-class share the main armament although the last one is better.

Depends at which stage they split into their refitted forms.

Even the originals had the same primary batteries. Same turrets, same guns. It's the only thing they shared, all the rest was different(both in case of the original and refitted design)

The turrets on the Andrea Doria class had slightly better armour (Conway's Battleships).

As built they should be the same tier, like Ise and Fuso

Probably although between the two there's a clear superior ship. In any case i guess it's easier to make the BB branch from Italy by starting from tier X and going down rather than the opposite.

I would really like to know what they meant with "CA-AV" Aoba, anyway thanks for the massive update.

EDIT: And I would also like to know why my post deserved a negative feed, but life is really full of mysteries after all.
